Yep, members of the Marine Corp Band confirmed she lipped sync'd her flawless performance which everyone was giving her such kadu's over. I think it so disingenuous and phony for "performers" to lip sync what they promote will be live performances. I mean everyone was excited and it was promoted that she would "sing" at the inaugural. She did not, she play acted to a canned produced and tweaked recording. If you can't do it live then don't pretend you can do it live and take the accolades as if you did. Marine Corp trying to back off saying no one in the Marine Band would be in a position know.................................wanna bet? The issue remains though...................................what about "performers" especially at such highly promoted events faking it?
I love beyonce, but doing that to lot of corporate people especially at inaugauration is dissapointing, she has been paid to sing, not to lip sync right? - - - Updated - - - I love beyonce, but doing that to lot of corporate people especially at inaugauration is dissapointing, she has been paid to sing, not to lip sync right?
I don't see the problem with her lip-syncing the National Anthem. It's a difficult song, the weather conditions were terrible, and the blow back from flubbing a line would be pretty severe. Think of all the people who flubbed the National Anthem and the public reaction from that. Now if it was one of her own songs that she was lip-syncing, that would be different. She should be mocked for that, but I think she did the right thing.
Then just play the recording while she sits there with everyone else. It should be and is billed as and she acts like it is performance, it was not. If it is too difficult for you then don't sing it and don't pretend you can. That's shoooooooooooooooooooooowbusiness. There weather there was not a factor. Oh well, if you can't handle it then don't do it. I've yet to hear anyone boo'd after singing it except for Rosanne. Certainally you would. Whitney did it live and it was probably the best performance in modern history. It makes not a shred of difference, if she can't sing the National Anthem then don't except the offer or better yet the honor, leave it for someone who will get up there an nail it and not be afraid to do it.
