President Obama nominated a SC justice and the republicans refused to hold hearings on the man. President Trump has nominated a SC justice and the democrat leadership say they will vote against the man. Both men who were nominated were qualified to serve. Both were honorable men with a good record. Both were more honorable and achieved more in their careers than most members of congress. The republicans were wrong and now the democrats are wrong. Neither party cares about our constitution or what is best for the country. This is what we now have -- a divided country with politicians taking sides no matter what. This attitude has spilled over to the voters, spilled over to the SC, the congress, the presidents, and spilled over to the media. Rather than country, country, country, we have party, party, party. "A house divided against itself cannot stand." We are witnessing a great country in decline. We survived the division in 1860 with a Civil War and it may take another great catastrophe to bring us together to survive this present trend.
