Is that the War to end all Wars ?

    Weapons of Wars, plural ?
    Or Weapons of War ?
    How about War Wagons ?
    Define a War Wewapon ?

In Mexico a .45 acp caliber 1911 pistol is considered a War Weapon.

Just call any gun a Weapon of Wars because most gun designs had that beggining

US v miller already holds that weapons of war (or rather ordinary military equipment) is protected under the core 2a. That's stood for some time and hasn't been even hinted that it would be overturned. Kennedy won't **** with that but do enjoy your intellectually
    masturbatory fantasy

^^^ :) Having settled that to my satisfaction, I have a question for you: will you accept SCOTUS's coming decisions on what are "weapons of war" and who can have them?

Not if it Re-classifies firearms in common use as weapons of War, scheduled to be banned.

You do realize there are many machine guns now in Civilian ownership, right ?

Many Knob Creek shoot videos on You Tube.

I do. No civilian has a need or a moral right to have a machine gun, or to modify a gun into a machine gun.

Predators hunt where the prey is. Take certain weapons and accessories. Make them illegal to possess, to own, to sell, and to distribute. Then hunt those weapons, and you will find many (not all) of the predators before they go crazy.

I own weapons. I am happy with my rifles, shotguns, my hand guns, particularly the judge and the snake gun. You should be as well.

    That is good for you.

Others have Legally posessed machine guns and other destructive devices and harm no one.
    That is good too.

Just wait till they come for your pet guns saying; no one has a Right to own them.
    Will you be happy ?

I could be a hypocrite, since it would not affect me in LEO land.

what a stupid comment. civilian police use automatic weapons all the time. Why do you draw the line at a machine gun? next week it will be semi autos.

I hate to clue you in but semi auto is what skilled operatives use for inflicting casualties, full auto is for suppressing movement or fire or to break contact.

when you start calling for the civilian cops to give up select fire firearms I might sort of have some use for your claims.

I love the "my guns are ok but others should be banned" idiocy

some gun owners think that if they support gun banners on some guns, those gun banners won't go after their guns. I had to deal with this when I was general counsel for a 3000 member shooting club-the ATA trap shooters seemed all to happy to support an "assault weapon ban" in a nearby city claiming it would show they were "reasonable" and that would keep the gun banners from banning their single shot trap guns. Fortunately, our service rifle shooters and USPSA pistol shooters and skeet shooters (who used semi auto shotguns) told them to go pound sand. I pushed through a bylaw requiring NRA membership to be a member in the club-it got us much better insurance too/

the other way to look at it is the old Eskimo story about throwing grandma off the sled so the wolves don't kill anyone else

it never works. The gun banning movement is like cancer. feeding it doesnt stop it

Strange how tumors re-route blood vessels to supply.
It also makes a tumor somewhat easier to kill with the correct therapeutics.

It is a bit disingenuine to claim gun control measures don't work, when even if they did (which they do) you would have no intention of supporting them anyways.

The debate has and always will be about gun culture, you believe that a large number of guns held by a private society makes for a better society. Most other western countries do not. Most other western cultures are saddened by the limited intellectual horsepower behind this position and this culture. Most people from other western countries do not want to associate with people with heavy gun leaning views. Such a position is shrinking and becoming less and less acceptable by the day.

Guns will go the same say as cigarettes.

    Okay.
Let us say you are correct.
The general public should not own Guns.
    Point taken.

    Then I am a Hypocrite.
As a Retired LEO, I am exempt from Gun control under LEOSA as a qualified Retired LEO.
I am not required to have a C.C. license under the provision, a Federal provision that trumps all State laws.

However, I believe non LEOs should also have the same as I do.

If people of other Countries feel that way about the U.S. then they should not come here,
Nobody is forced to come to America, and anyone is free to leave.

To add, I saw too many unarmed victims of crime.
Too late to be helped, a cordless phone in a dead hand, last number dialed, 911.

I also saw many live victors of violent crime, a cordless phone in one hand, A handgun in the other hand,
A dead career criminal on the floor / ground.

I prefered the later scene over the former.

    Actual case.

    N.Y.C.
    Gun control central.

Call to 911, a woman yells that someone is kicking in her door.
In her precinct, the 120, numerous calls have all units tied up, and unavailable.
Finally, an available unit responds, a woman asks the Officers in, broken door off its hinges,
there is a very large naked dead black man in a bedroom, laying in a pool of blood on the floor.

    The story ?

Man kicks in her front door, says, I am going to rape you.
He takes off his clothes and advances,
She locks herself into the bedroom and dials 911, the guy kicks the bedroom door in,
She fires one shot from a S&W Chief and you have a dead guy.

The dead guy had a long record of rape convictions.
    And lots of releases.
    No more release.
The woman had a premise pistol license for her home.

    I love a happy ending.

    Please,
Do tell us again how gun control keeps people safe.

The man was unarmed by the way.

Doctor Who, you are engaged in a Fallacy of doomsday scenario. It's not happening. Government has a right to regulate firearms and ownership and possession. You know that.

Turtle Dude, you are simply doddering and mean-spirited because you cannot add anything meaningful to the discussion.

Gun control measures do work, there is no policy to ban and collect all guns, and the intellectual dishonesty is to deny the first and affirm the second.

Government doesn't have any rights. They have enumerated powers. They've also assumed powers not granted by the Constitution, and even those are (nominally) restricted.
