"The funding partner for Trump Media & Technology Group said that it will return the remaining $533 million of the $1 billion raised to finance the venture after investors canceled $467 million of commitments."

"Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), a so-called special-purpose acquisition company, said in a regulatory filing that it has received termination notices from investors for $467 million of the funding. The remaining $533 million will be returned to investors, with DWAC CEO Eric Swider saying in a press release that the decision is a "positive development" as Trump's media group focuses on developing a "sustainable business model."

Truth Social is getting few clicks, a small fraction of what was claimed as the goal at the outset.

The Forbes article is especially harsh, and that came before the CBS article.

What does this mean concerning actual interest in Trump?

Lols! Apparently the Biden Campaign has signed on - no assurances that it won’t be to troll all the republicans on the site!

Makes me wonder how most of these forums stay afloat? I suppose they are just hobbies for some..

Looks like Truth Social is about to run out of operating capital. Trump will have to turn to another platform, and of course the drama too.

As I remembered it, signing up for Truth Social involved accepting spyware. I passed.

Not sure what the draw would be anyway at this point, Truth Social was censoring people just like they all claimed Twitter was. That was literally the impetus for it's existence, and without it, it sort of has no purpose if you're not obsessed with Trump.

For the hard core folks, not much. For the indecisive middle it might help democrats a little bit.

    Yes.

Holding to account known offenders is important, but it seems unlikely to grow the lasting faith that democracy depends on.
