Trump congratulated her, saying 'Free at last' Apparently, this leaves James Carville and Mary Matalin as the only well-known couple from opposite ends of the political spectrum. So, was this inevitable? Or as proof that everything Trump touches dies?

With 50% of all marriages ending in divorce in this country, you had as much of a chance as landing heads 50% of the time when you flip a coin. Since they have kids and they are now mid-teens to late tens, you are having the axiety of becoming empy nesters. The kids kept the marriage for this long and now that the kids are grown or growing, they now finding out that they are no longer who they are when they did marry in 2001. For James Carville and Mary Matelin, hearing them to keep their marriage together, these two made a commitment not to bring work home with them. So far, it has worked.
