My issue has nothing to do with Bud Light marketing. My issue is Bud Light sucks as a beer.

Oh no. A shitty tasting beer was knocked off the top spot, replaced by a shitty tasting beer from a different brand, although I did hear that Modello was the top selling beer at one point after the Bud Light kerfluffle. Modello is pretty decent.

was Bud Light a MAGA drink of choice?

most of the young already switch to real low carb drinks, MAGA was behind the times

the new thing is hard seltzers (2g Carbs)

Let me ask you a question Mr Beer Snob; how does a shitty tasting beer make it to the top spot?

I get it, you're an elitist wannabe, but everyone has different tastes. You probably wouldn't want to eat a lot of the food they serve up in Africa or China, but they love it. Are you going to criticize them, too?

Because it's easy to drink it all day long since it's essentially just water with a spritz of alcohol. But not like refreshing water, more like old water that was in a water bottle you forgot on the backseat floor of your car from that camping trip in the spring.

The fuller tasting beers taste better and are more enjoyable but they can get to be a bit much if you're doing a lot of drinking. They are better for occasions where you're not trying to keep a drunk on. That is why beer like Bud Light and Miller Lite exist.

Naw, I'm not an elitist. If I was, I would like IPAs and I can't stand pretty much all of them. You don't have to be an elitist to recognize when something tastes bad. And the fact that it tastes bad does not mean people should not drink it or enjoy it. Beer like that has it's place, like I said above.

If someone working at a distributor lost their job, it wasn't because of this. Distributors stock the companies entire line and usually some IPA's and such that have a distribution deal with them. Inbev has like 500 brands

A few things to note here. I started drinking beer when I was around 16 or so and I drank whatever the older men would get for me and it was usually Budweiser or Miller, sometimes Pabst. When I hit 18 and was going to bars with my friends it was always pitchers of Bud or Miller. So with that in mind, people kinda like what they grew up with much like our mother's cooking and to me it was Bud and Miller.

Next up is your right absolutely about being able to drink Bud all day and not get hammered. I don't drink to get hammered, but there were times when I did and that's when I hit the hard stuff. We would always have Bud or Miller at softball games, parties, etc. I even had it in a cooler when I coached Little League (I doubt anyone can do that these days) Pro Tip: If you drink at my pace then never drink beer while playing golf on a hot day.

Like all the men in my family, Bud and Miller doesn't get me slammed, I can drink it all day and if I have too much too fast I might a buzz, but that's it, no hangovers. I tend to drink beer at a pace of one every 15 minutes, but as soon as it starts to get warm I pour it out and get another one. Most of the time I pour out the last inch or so. I like my beer so cold that, maybe you're familiar with this, they all beers start to taste the same the colder they get.

I used to play in billiards tournaments and back then we could drink beer while we were playing and I certainly did. These tournaments could last 10 hours and I'd be hitting the beer the entire time. What I found is the more beer I drank the more risks I would take - most times it worked out, other times not so much.

Now here is where you're going to think I'm nuts. Everyone has their own tastes, right? Well I hate, and I mean absolutely hate mayonnaise. When I go out to eat I always make sure my food isn't contaminated with the stuff. I also don't like coffee. In fact, I NEVER drink anything that's warm, it always has to be cold. Different strokes for different folks.

Costco is famous for dropping items that do not sell PDQ

    they stock and item,

if it does not fly off the shelves within the first week or 2, the item gets the death star and is gone from Costco

a computer gives the death star ...this is one reason Costco is so successful ..they dont wait for a manager to decide an item is not selling...the manager may not even know what item is getting the death star

Costco also stays out of most controversy...they did put a egg farm in Nebraska where it was not welcome

they did not give a damn and built their chicken farm anyway ..but it was in nebraska so it got little attention

Costco's advertising budget is close to nothing...their only advertising budget are emails to its members

no billboards , no TV ads no radio or print ads ..nothing .. nada

and everytime I go there I laugh when I see people driving a car worth a $100 grand in the gas line to save 3 bucks filling the tank..
seems if a guy can pull the trigger for a $100K on a car he can afford to spend an extra $3 bucks a tank of gas

dont worry ... by christmas time the cans of bud light with santa clause on them will be stocked and selling

I was no different. Another selling point of those kinds of beers is they are usually cheaper than the good beer. As a teenager I drank a lot of Busch Lite and Bud Lite. The only exception I remember from my teenage years was Genesee Cream Ale. One of my friend's dad's drank that and we could easily steal it, but it was so nasty we would go without beer rather than trying to drink it.

I like Labatt's when golfing. It's got a better flavor but still watered down enough to drink all day.

I'm right there with you on that. My wife makes fun of me for never finishing a full beer for the same exact reason. Even when we're at a bar and I've gotten a draft, if it sat too long I'll take it up and get another without finishing it.

My step-son hates mayonaise too. Funny story on that for me though. Growing up, my family only ever had Miracle Whip. Not just my household, but all the immediate family. I was a teenager before I tasted real mayonaise and literally as soon as I did, I never touched Miracle Whip again.

But yeah I get it. I don't really have a problem with those beers. My drinking habits have changed and I'm rarely drinking all day anymore, which is why I love the few times a year when I do get to day drink. So I tend to only have 2-5 beers at a time(with some shots if I'm at the bar too) and prefer the better tasting beer for those occasions. But I've got a camping party next month and I'll probably pick up something like that so I can drink all day. It's just that I don't drink that beer because it's enjoyable and tastes good, it just goes down easier and doesn't make you queasy after you've had a bunch.

For a change of pace sometimes I will drink twisted tea. It's pretty good. It's not carbonated and it's not very sweet and it's 5% alcohol.

So not a ridiculous content but a little more alcohol than say Bush beer.

Not sure vodka and soda water is healthier than a beer.

carbs and alcohol are worse imo

but of course no alcohol is best

now mixing alcohol with fructose is even worse, as both are hard on the liver

Nice sales gimmick. But I have not seen any indication that Costco will discontinue the product from its shelves in the alcoholic beverage section of the store though.

I think its kinda healthy for a "drink". I know when I wanna drop some lbs one of the things I do is replace beer/wine/mixed drinks with a seltzer/vodka/lime juice drink for a few weeks and it does make a difference (you probably have to drink as much as I do though for this type of thing to make a difference).

I dont think calories = health. For instance, is 100 calories of potato chips healthier than 200 calories of broccoli?
