Trump is not receiving 'salaries' from foreign governments. Even you could have garnered that from the link that Margo provided.

 

Which is why the Founding Fathers were careful to say "emoluments" which means any kind of award or benefit, ANY kind, even an advantageous price or charge. And no, Trump is not receiving any of them either, SO FAR

The problem is that he very easily could and this is without his meaning too or possibly even knowing about it.

Again, he is going to almost have to follow the blind trust arrangement, and that DOESN'T mean giving it to a relative; if he tries anything else Congress is going to fall on him like a load of bricks. Most of them are successful businessmen too and they have done it voluntarily just to avoid even the possibility of scandal which could easily ruin BOTH their careers, private and public.

But getting the most popular votes is not how this republic elects its presidents. So she didn't win anything. She got more popular votes, but she didn't win anything. For she would have needed electoral college votes to win, and she could not get them. This is the system we have, and elect presidents by. The law of the land. It is probably the best way to elect presidents, for it keeps urban areas from being overly represented in a nation that is not all urban. The electoral college system helps to insure that more people will be represented by the president and not just NYC or LA people.

And it is some protection from a Mobocracy. A left wing authoritarian mobocracy. The social justice politically correct, anti free speech authoritarians on the lunatic fringe left. Those people are crazy!! And such a pain in the arse. They remind me of tantrum throwing, terrible two year olds. And you find them in urban areas where the closely packed humanity suffers from mental afflictions and aberrant behavior from the over crowding. In places like NYC, LA, DC, and san Francisco. The electoral college offers some protection from these characters.
