    Yes, but I did. The comment I was responding to was objecting to laws against discrimination on grounds of orientation because he says businesses should be free to decide who they serve or don't. My whole point was that those businesses have been long prevented from discriminating on other grounds, including religion. Therefore, the objection to grounds of orientation should have been exactly the same for the existing laws. Such objections haven't been apparent which suggests to me that their claimed reason for objecting now isn't true.

    We'd long progressed from the specific case that triggered the thread and I'd already agreed that was the right decision in that case.

    A baker refusing to bake a wedding cake for two guys isnt discrimination based upon "orientation". Its based upon the fact that they are of the same sex, seeking a wedding. If they were two heterosexual guys wanting to get married, the baker would have equally refused. Their sexual orientation is irrelevant.
