It's a plan from medical science - from experts in communicable diseases, including viruses. It has the agreement of medical science inside and outside of CDC. So, dodging your boilerplate nonsense about government always failing, your argument is bogus.

What are the grounds for ignoring the plan on whitehouse.gov?

What is it about the plan that you think all of medical science is wrong about?

Why is what we are doing causing DRAMATICALLY worse results than Europe is obtaining? You don't need to answer, but overall, I really do want to know.

Somehow THEIR policy and behavior are effective while our plan of ignoring science is not paying off AT ALL.

That's going to have long term economic implications, and for the US to simply ignore that is unconscionable in terms of body count and economic wellbeing.

Your economic concerns are real. We do need to fix this thing.

When did he openly state that he would attack Americans ability to vote?

Sweden, Japan, the Netherlands, the US, Italy, the UK, France and Germany and others each had their own plans in effect and they were each very different. Some plans worked better than others particularly in the Netherlands and Japan.

I tend to agree that this virus will be with us for a very long time. Perhaps this is the new normal world. I had hoped, thought that like the flu, come summer this virus would die away until fall and winter. That was completely wrong.

He's done nothing to defend our democracy from foreign interference, and there is clear evidence of him actually encouraging foreign involvement.

He's attack the ONLY method of voting in a number of states, including mine.

All states use mail in voting for those who fit their state's criteria for allowing mail in votes. He's stated that is fake, too.

In his latest ineriew with a FOX News anchor he was not willing to say that he would leave office if he lost the electin.

He's supported actions states have taken when those actions have the effect of reducing the vote for those he hates - minorities and low income voters. That has included blocks to registration, selectively closing polling places, and other action that has already show LONG lines of voters - which is of itself a serious problem for those with disabilities, with work requirements (where it amounts to a poll tax), to those who are at greater risak of COVID, etc.

The idea that Trump is interested in democracy is just plain preposterous.

This virus is man made, engineered for "gain of function" at UNC Chapel Hill in 2015.

In that light, its peculiar qualities make sense.

It's a safe bet that while the virus itself won't, the "crisis" will quickly subside when Biden defeats Trump in the election.

The problem with that comes when the USA ignores the success that others have had while totally failing at home.

When someone finds how to do it, we should be the first there to implement that solution - regardless of who invented it.

    @WillReadmore
Well he has no choice but to leave office if he loses. No big deal for him as he will just go back to running his businesses..
And voting was intended to be a snapshot of voter intent on Election Day but has become drawn out through mail in voting which was originally intended for people who had no other realistic way to vote. I will return to the US to vote on Election Day regardless if I can do mail in voting.

You seem to have some trouble distinguishing between correlation and causation. They are not the same thing.

A large part of "spikes" is based upon false and misleading data, and appears to be related to GOP versus Democrat administrations.

Medical science experts from the world over state that it is not human engineered and that it came from the Wuhan district of china where it most likely engered the human population from bats.

Bats there are known to carry a seemingly endless variety of SARS viruses. The risk of those viruses crossing to humans is well known. It happened with the previous SARS that reached the US, and reseaarchers in China have tracked down other cases of SARS entering the human population, but without those cases resulting in pandemic for various reasons - such as extreme isolation of the human population affected.

You need to watch your sources of information.

Nope they are not the same thing but masks and lockdowns are given causation status as effective against c-19.

No, scientists on US payroll, US "scientists" say it came from bats in China and is a natural virus.

Dissenters like Judy Mikovits and several others including European scientists have noted it is man-made. No you won't see them mentioned in any mainstream media article, not for a skinny minute.

    I didn't make a statement about causation.

I pointed out a problems in what we are doing. The FACT that we are ignoring how Europe controled COVID19 is something that rises to the level of being criminal.

And, you have NO evidence of false data that could possibly explain what we are seeing today.

If you did, you would post it.

Yes, they do want us to think that masks and lockdown are effective. They are effective at generating fear and submission, not much more.

I have considerable evidence, but much of it is anecdotal in nature.

Here is one in MSM: https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/f...rected-to-only-report-positive-covid-19-tests

Judy Mikovits has been totally eleiminated as a legitimate source of ANYTHING. You should be embarrassed.

You are trying to create a world wide conspiracy.

Sorry. There is NO justification for that kind of total BS. Science doesn't shut up and it can not be controlled as you propose.

As to the claim that it is a man made virus I quote Carl Sagan. “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence” but I do believe that it started in the wet markets which I understand are open again so maybe the next pandemic might be a serious one.

    I use this quotation often:
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins.”

YOU should be embarrassed, and you should take your own advice and read more.

You should be embarrassed because you've been caught red-handed judging a book by its cover, for whatever that might be worth.

Mikovits worked with Fauci when HIV/AIDS were all the rage. She is highly skilled and qualified, but not having read her book, you would not understand that.

WillYouReadMore? Only time will tell. Right now it doesn't look good.

What European nation should be we emulating? We have a lower mortality rate than Spain, UK, France, Sweden and Belgium, in some cases much lower.

If you think Europe is the model for success, then you and I have a very different definition for success unless you’re talking about kill rate.
    This as of July 21.

    I've got 437/1,000,000 total dead.

    So
    0.437/1000
    0.0437/100
    0.04%
So lay out a hundred pennies - that represents the US population
Take a single penny, cut that into a hundred pieces, 0.1%
Take one of those pieces and cut it into hundred pieces 0.01%
Take 4 of those and set them next to the pile of a hundred pennies and that's what 0.04% represents.
