~ This bill looks scary as it appears to give too much authority to government over crypto transactions .
The nonprofit crypto policy advocate group Coin Center warns that one provision, proposed by Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., would give U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen "unchecked and unilateral power" to ban financial institutions, including regulated exchanges, from engaging in transactions.
" It empowers the secretary to prohibit any cryptocurrency transactions without any process, rulemaking, or limitation on the duration of the prohibition ."

Government, banks and law enforcement don't like crypto. I'm surprised it has lasted this long, frankly.
