David Hogg pushes Laura Ingraham boycott after Fox News host taunts him over college admissions

I've been to every corner of England many, many times. It is a safe country to walk around, including Muslim areas in big cities.

She said it's unreasonable to trash the kids who were subjected to the attack at Parkland High School and you respond by making up stuff and attributing it to her. Get a clue.

In 2003, during 5 weeks of my summer break, I backpacked around the UK by myself, single female. I had a railpass. I landed in London but didn't stay. I went to Bath, Plymouth, the Cotswolds and Wales. (I was at Stonehenge in 1975 when there were no fences around it.) From Wales I went to Ireland, then Northern Ireland and then to Scotland. (I'd also been in the Highlands in 1975--Mull, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Lock Ness.) This time I went to Arran, Glasgow, Edinburgh. Then I went back down into England, to the Lake District and York, Birmingham, Oxford and back down into London. I stayed in B&Bs and once in a budget hotel. I did a lot of walking in country areas, crossing fields, hiking in the Lake District, walking along canals in Birmingham. I spent the last week in London where I stayed in student housing at one of the universities. I had a quad all to myself as the students were gone. Some years later I went to Cambridge and London, and more years later to London again.

I've been to London enough times to see all the main sights and been to the museums more than once. I love parks and have walked or jogged in all the London parks and walked extensively around Kew Gardens. I have a book titled 'Country Walks around London,' of which I've done some, on my own. I never for one moment had any problems in the UK with my safety, never saw any crimes at all. I have been in England in the 70s, 80s, and several times between 2003 and now as I've lived and worked overseas since then. No one ever bothered me there or in Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, or Scotland. I've traveled all over Europe, all of Western Europe (except Scandinavia) and about 6 countries in Eastern Europe and have never had a problem.

 

Looks like it was Ingraham who "suffered the consequences" this time.

Don't you know, kids don't have any right to have minds or thoughts or have anything to say about their destiny. Never mind the fact that those criticizing them are appearing far less mature and thoughtful than the kids speaking out.

 

Funny. Too funny. Several of those companies agree with him. LOL Too bad. So sad.

 

The Parkland kids have survived actual gunfire and now they are surviving the hatred of the NRA Gun Culture of Death.

At this point they are winning and given the support they are getting I can see them winning in 2018 too.

It takes a great deal of maturity to go through what they have endured and I their courage and steadfastness in the face of mindless adversity.

We were discussing the Second Amendment, not the First. Anti-2A Chicken Littles are free to express their hatred of the Constitution and pro-2A people are free to suggest that they move to a country where they won't be burdened by our Constitution and rights it protects. No one stated otherwise.

The fact is that liberals (and conservatives) express a range of views on gun laws. Their views don't split into your little binary world of "liberals" and "conservatives."

 

Americans aren't big on boyotts, so it's unlikely the advertisers will be punished by anyone.
