"Day" in Genesis vs. "Day" in the NT...an Old Earth Creationist dilemma-

I was amazed that no one commented on the "6 days", there is usually some on that will say seven. A little bit like the "Noah" story. How many of each were brought on board? 7pair of "clean" I wonder if that was because they could eat them?

 

Just so you know that "taking issue" with something for emotional / ideological reasons has nothing to do with providing any evidence that there is actually a problem.

Let us know when some yec has some sort of data to disprove something.

You do know, of course, that virtually every scientist on earth "has issues' with
yec, and, can provide any volume of data disproving it in about as many ways as you could ask for.

 

When you misunderstand the word "argument" as it applies to debate your credibility takes a major hit. Lawyers prepare arguments to support their cases. Arguments are simply the way the answers are explained.
The need for fundamentalism to adopt progressive revelation is evidence that their solid footing of absolute beliefs is crumbling and they are grasping for new ways to maintain a foothold among remotely serious people.

 

Actually....we can actually detect the Background Microwave Radiation that exists everywhere due to the Big Bang and using the Hubble Telescope we can visually see to the edge of our Universe where in all directions from us exists an ocean of superheated plasma 379,000 Light years from the visual 13 Billion Year Old Plus Big Bang Event details.

As noted, gets even more complicated....Genesis refers to "mornings" and "evenings". Now....were the "mornings" "indeterminate periods of time, could be millions of years"???

If so, then EVERY reference to "morning" in the Bible is suspect.
