Looking back at the brilliant foreign policy of Dear Leader, it's a credit to this administration that our involvement in Libya ended scant days after it began. Otherwise we'd be involved in a bloody civil war with no end in sight. Thanks, Obama! What's that you say We're still involved in Libya after five solid months? BS. It'd be front page of the NYT every darn day if a US President was involved in an extra-constitutional war for five freeeeekin months. Right? .
Right. We can't be involved...I haven't heard the first report on the cost of this war, so we must be just observers or advisor's.
Why is it that democrats always are the ones getting us inovled in wars? WW1 WW2 Vietnam Korean war and now Libya.
Links on Drudge today: WH: Gaddafi 'toppled by end of August'... FLASHBACK: March 30: 'Their days are numbered'... FLASHBACK: April 15: 'Your days are numbered'... FLASHBACK: May 11: 'Muammar Gaddafi's days are numbered.'...
Which is two months past the deadline for Obama to seek the approval of congress. This is an illegal war and Obama is committing an impeachable offense.
In 3 of those wars we were attacked first. When we are attacked first, we didn't get us involved in anything. Oh, and Vietnam was started by a Republican (Eisenhower).
I'm counting 1 war on that list where we attacked first, and that's overlooking the fact that the US didn't start the Libyan uprising...
The Germans attacked our navy and civilian shippping prior to our entry in WWI. The Japanese attacked us in WWII (and again the Germans attacked our navy and civilian shipping). North Korea attacked US troops stationed in South Korea when it invaded.
You got that right. The NY Times (and all the other duplicitous tentacles of the Propaganda wing of the democrat party) would be screaming at the top of their lungs every single day! We don't have a free press. We have a corrupt bought and paid for press.
As far as public perception goes, Libya has been forgotten. If the rebels end up taking down Khadafi with NATO forces overhead, it's going to be perceived somewhat well, no matter how long it's taken. It's not been a conventional or large scale deployment like the other forgotten war.
