I don't usually pray. However, I truly hope that 2024 will not be a repetition of the 2020 Trump - Biden presidential race. I don't know if the country can take another one of those. Right now, unfortunately, it looks like it is shaping up that way. Trump already declared his run in 2024, and Biden seemed very positive about his own run after the recent midterm elections, which he interpreted as a mandate. Now, I think Obama was a good president, but picking Biden as his VP was a mistake, he was stale already back then. We desperately need fresh blood from both sides.
My hope is some Dem OTHER than Biden is the candidate and DeSantis is the Rep candidate. We shall see.
I dunno, Joe and Trump are well known commodities and Biden has been constantly underestimated. IMO, they will both be too old in 2024.
I don't want another Trump run. He is toxic and can't win. All he has is a huge ego, a lot of bluster and less intelligence that he appears to have. Biden is senile and needs to be put out to pasture. All of the would be candidates, who are over 75 need to stand down and cut the crap. That includes Trump, Biden, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. All of them saw their prime years ago, and for most of them, that prime didn't amount to much.
Underestimated for what, other than getting elected? There is nothing there now, and there wasn't much there in 1988 when he made his first presidential run. He is a puppet whose strings are pulled by the far left of the Democrat party. So say it's Ron Klain, the Whitehouse chief of staff. If you view him as successful president, surely you jest.
I'd have to agree, that would only perpetuate the circus sideshow we have now. Fresh blood? And fresh air.
Biden is doing the best he can. Not a great... just ok. I can think of at least twenty democrats who would be better choices (and the list does not include Bernie, IMO). However, if Biden runs, he wins. And the Democratic Party might find it appealing to bet on a sure thing. On the other side, I think that if Trump stays out of prison until the primaries are over, he will be the definite nominee of the GOP. Which would mean that ANY Democrat would be likely win.
If Trump had done as horribly as Bide, the left would have been rolling out the guillotines. You know that, and we know you know that- and also know you just don't acknowledge it. .
Not enough space allowed here. There would however be plenty to list what he's done right, in the blank space provided between this line and the next. You will have to do your own homework, and take off your rose colored glasses. But to get you started- Here's a Washington newspaper article. Lots more like this, truckloads of stuff. This is just the first 100 days. Don't forget such things as running out of Afghanistan and leaving the people we went there to defeat about $85 billion in arms and equipment. He literally armed the enemy- on a scale almost impossible to imagine. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...res-in-100-days-america-first-to-america-last Headline says it. List: 100 Biden failures in 100 days, ‘America First’ to ‘America last’
Your claim you justify it - which I note you have not done instead posting an opinion piece from a right wing idiot rag
I prepared three really funny responses to this. Each one more hilarious than the previous one. But then I decided to respond in a serious manner. And in order to do that I need to address it, not to the poster, but to Republicans in general Because, you see, THIS is what Trump has reduced the GOP to: projection and complete denial of reality. Don't think this poster isn't aware that Trump's administration was just one big Mafia racket. Not to mention the most incompetent administration in this nation's history. Denying reality might work to convince you that the former administration wasn't the worst in history if you're a Trump loyalist. Or an old-school "Tea Party" faithful. But denialism was carried to the utmost extreme by Trump already. There is nobody who can do denialism and lying like Trump can. So anybody else trying to outdo him is going to sound amateurish. And I think people are growing increasingly tired of it anyway. Even most Republicans, I believe, want to start seeing their party doing again something they haven't done in over 20 years: governing! Now, to your post. By modern Democratic standards, Biden's administration has been mediocre. Fulfills the basic needs of the country at this point in time, but doesn't go beyond that. Democrats expect and demand that a President goes above and beyond. Obama is the minimum standard that we use to define what we expect from a President who is a Democrat. While the Republican standard is not even Reagan anymore (he would be considered a RINO today)... it's Trump.
The article I referenced was just first on the list- and there were pages more. Everybody's lying, right? And you don't think that the Afghan withdrawal reports are true either? It's pitiful that anyone would lose their sense of balance and self-respect so deeply that they had to lie to themselves thinking it was somehow saving face. The same people who blow off Joe's stream of botched jobs and gaffes want to hang Trump for anything- no matter how good. I'd expect you to insult any report that proved the point- and that is your problem, not the news reliability. That's your real issue; your capacity to deal with truth.
It's sad, but your credibility is built on a pile of self-serving BS. Anyone who can watch what the democrats have become and what they are doing and not feel the need to vomit is a person short more than a few. Or one who has no love for their own country and it's primary values.
Fresh blood without fresh ideas is useless and the new idea Democrats had was countering reconstruction and it was awful.
