Alice Walton "donated" $353,400 to Crooked Clinton's campaign.

I always hear Democrats complaining about Walmart's business practices. And also complaining that huge corporations are buying off politicians. Yet they never seem to mention this fact.

The Clintons were also responsible for building a duty-free sweatshop in Haiti and fought against raising the minimum wage for factory workers in Haiti from under 30 cents to over 60 cents/hour.

If you guessed that Walmart benefits financially from this deal, you are correct. It's an obvious kickback.

$350,000? She's going to be pretty far back in line to meet with Hillary.

Walmart is based in Arkansas. And Hillary Clinton was on Walmart's board of directors for 6 years.

I think it's safe to say that they've met.

I don't. I buy my groceries at Kroger. That's where I've always went grocery shopping.

What does that matter ? It's Clinton getting the benefits from the retailer you hate.

But I guess you will just ignore this too.

It does matter if you rail against a company for unethical behavior then reward them by shopping there.

You mean like railing against a company and then ignoring the fact that the person you are going to vote for is recieving donations from them?

Besides he said he don't shop there. So the ball is in your court. You gonna show your displeasure with Clinton or will you deflect like a good little agenda driven Clinton supporter?

Hillary Clinton was a Wal-Mart Director for 6 Years
Posted by Emine Dilek on Saturday, June 20, 2015
    Progressive Press

In 1986, Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart, was under pressure to appoint a woman to the company’s 15-member -all male- board of directors. So, Mr. Walton asked a young lawyer, Hillary Rodham Clinton, who just happened to be married to the governor of Arkansas at the time, where Wal-Mart is based, to be the sole female member of the board.

During six years (1986 -1992) as a member of the Wal-Mart board of directors, Hillary Clinton remained silent as the world’s largest retailer waged a major campaign against the labor unions seeking to represent store workers.

John Tate who was one of Clinton’s fellow board members, was leading Wal-Mart’s anti-union efforts. Tate was also Wal-Mart’s executive vice president and served on the board with Clinton for four of her six years. Tate favorite phrase was, as he admitted himself, “Labor unions are nothing but blood-sucking parasites living off the productive labor of people who work for a living.”

According to an ABC News report, published in 2008, Clinton appears in videotapes of the stockholder meetings where she never appears to defend the role of labor unions. On the contrary, the tapes show Clinton in the role of a loyal company woman. “I’m always proud of Wal-Mart and what we do and the way we do it better than anybody else,” she said at a June 1990 stockholders meeting.

Clinton also worked at the Law Firm which represented Walmart. A 1994 New York Times story identified Clinton as the Rose Law firm’s lead lawyer for the company.

Associated Press reported in 2006 that Mrs. Clinton was paid $18,000 annually plus $1,500 for each meeting she attended as a board member. The Clintons had $100,000 in Walmart stock, which was put into a blind trust after the 1992 election. The Clintons also flew for free on Wal-Mart corporate planes 14 times in 1990 and 1991, in preparation for Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential bid.

The ties between the Clintons and the Walton family continue to this day. Alice Walton, the daughter of Wal-Mart’s founder Sam Walton, is a big supporter of Hillary Clinton becoming the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016. According to filings with the FEC, Alice Walton gave $25,000, the maximum allowed under federal law, to the super PAC Ready for Hillary. According to Clinton Foundation’s disclosures, the Walmart Foundation and the Walton Family Foundation each have given between $1 million and $5 million to the Clinton Foundation.

This woman sells herself to the highest bidder for money and power. She is a piece of work...

Like most really rich people, the Waltons give to both sides, to hedge their bets. The Waltons have their own PAC and also contribute heavily to Republican candidates and causes. They gave more money to Romney in the last election than to Clinton in this one.

Unfortunately for Haiti, Hillary gave them, Walmart, something back for their investment. http://www.nationalreview.com/artic...cratic-party-dinesh-dsouza-clinton-foundation
They meddled in Haiti's elections and the minimum wage was depressed, in an already extremely poor nation, thanks to Clinton.

Walmart has enough money to spread around. It's the money grubbing of Hillary and her long close relation to Walmart (on their board for years) and what she gives in return for that money that makes her, Hillary, especially repugnant.
Google up Haiti and Hillary Clinton and see what comes up. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/03/15/us/politics/hillary-clinton-haiti.html?_r=0

I have a problem with Walmart compensating their workers so little that the tax payer has to significantly supplement them.

Other than that, rich people donate to both parties and lots of candidates. Money in politics is the problem. Remove Citizens' United, and politicians, once again, must be responsive to the American people, not just donors.

The problem isn't citizens united. It is corrupt politicians like Clinton.

It's hard to corrupt politicians unless there is money involved. Get the money out of politics and there's few ways to corrupt the politicians. Citizens' United certainly is a problem in politics and 78% of Americans want it overturned.

I doubt that. Citizens United was about free speech.

Do you think it should be illegal to criticize Hillary Clinton?

    Why or why not?
