    And it's why this country is becoming increasingly polarized. We could not be more polarized at this time than if we had Soviets living amongst us.

    Well all of those people mentioned are commies. The entire black caucus are self described socialists or commies. Check that list out again and you'll notice that a huge proportion of them represent districts in heavily populated border and blue states. They have the nerve to put the word 'honorable' in front of each of their names. What a joke; I suggest they put the hammer and sickle symbol in front of their names so as not to further hide their true identities.

    America has been at least 'partially' socialist (not USSR style communism) since the beginning.

    Those who try to convince others that anything/everything "socialist" is somehow wrong or evil, aren't dealing with reality.

    The root of "socialist" is society...which, in and of itself, cannot exist without basic, collectively available infrastructure said society deems necessary and is willing to fund.

    The problem that has very predictably arisen over the past few decades is what constitutes "basic infrastructure". Leftists contend such should include the wants and needs of each individual...

    at increasing expense to fewer and fewer who actually contribute.

    Which, of course, is utterly unsustainable...

    and if it hasn't aready, will eventually result in irreversible debt, social upheaval and ultimately, collapse.

    History bears this out.... over and over and over.

    yet, social and economic alchemist on the left still pretend lead can be turned into gold...if "the right people" are in charge.

    Yes, unnecessary wants, like affordable post-secondary education, universal healthcare, programs that actually lift the poor out of poverty, investment in science and child care for working families.
