Astonishing that the question is whether Dems will GAIN a Senate seat in midterms during high inflation and an unpopular President.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by some of Laxalt's comments earlier today, preparing the way for this. He knew how these votes were going to trend. I don't think he sounds like he's looking to fan any election- denial conspiracy flames himself. 3 years ago I would not have complimented politicians for doing a concession speech( or a pre possible concession concession) because it was so automatic throughout my half century watching politics. Certainly this and the next few election cycle, those speeches will be incredibly important.

No-one ever said that defeating a MAGAcan was a threat to democracy.

It’s important to remember that not everyone has the same issue priority list as you do.

Your personal #1 issue may be someone else’s #6. It seems this year was anti progressives versus anti Trump. In general, Republicans did well.

I agree, Trump's character had much to do with Republican's losing what was expected. Trump is about to lose all of his political protection.

Hopefully then we can see legal justice applied to him.

Well it kind of shows that a Trump endorsement is far far less powerful than an endorsement than these guys. It is kind of strange how few people know about this group and their death grip on American politicians of both parties. Heck I had never heard of them until a few years ago. This is a group whose only purpose is to advocate diverting American taxpayer resources to another country. Why do they have so much power over what people Americans are allowed to elect?

    It WON'T...
The "Threat to Democracy" Can ONLY End with Trump being defeated in 2024...

    Lolwut?
    "Republicans did well"? :roflol:
    Compared to Who?
People who missed out on Lifeboats on the Titanic?
    Given the Pre-Election EXPECTATIONS:
The GOP getting 230 House Seats and Senate Control...
    The GOP Got Completely Shellacked!
In No Reliastic Universe (Give the Expectations) did the Republicans Do "Well"...

Well, yeah, it will. Because Tuesday AmeriCANs ended it. 8)

For now, but just let tRaitor tRump continue to lead the GOP around by the nose and run for pResident again. Patriotic AmeriCANs will come out of the wood work ... again ... to shut that **** down. And DeSenseless needs to be careful who he panders to and how he crafts his message or he could be next on the chopping block. 8)

The only way this will go to the Dems is if DJT decides to campaign for Hershal and lay out conspiracy theory after conspiracy theory in the next few weeks. If DJT does not campaign for Hershal, it is a toss up and the Dems may not come out to vote because they already know that they have the senate, with or without Walker.

They'll vote, Walker is a bad, and unqualified choice; they'll vote.

There's a book about that: "Everything Trump Touches Dies" by Rick Wilson.

Oh, goody ... another boogeyman scare story being drummed up by the right.

AIPAC is not a liberal organization. From your link:

"AIPAC describes itself as a bipartisan organization,[13] and the bills for which it lobbies in Congress are always jointly sponsored by both a Democrat and Republican."

If you insist on looking for boogeymen, I can do that, too, without seeming to be anti-semitic. AIPAC is no more influential in American politics than AEI.

Actually, it only ends when Trump is finally held accountable for his numerous crimes and, at the least, is barred from ever holding a public office. But even that won't stop the type of Trumpism that people like DeSantis are holding on to. Only the voters can do that, and these midterms were a good start.

It's mostly in California where Last Known Address ballots are harvested by public unions, filled out, and delivered.

How do they know the signatures of these ballot owners?
