The collectivist are totally brainwashed. They literally believe that Putin is super smart powerful and somehow made Trump his puppet. Then he used a handful of Facebook ads that nobody saw or remembers to cost the immensely popular Hillary Clinton her Landslide election victory.

Eyeroll at leftists and your party.... many who are neither consider Trump impeachment a future possibility.....

Nothing serious will (or should) happen until guided by the actions of the Mueller investigation... the dopey call for an impeachment vote 2 weeks ago was just to get some newsprint and a base head count... it wasn't super serious...

While I believe there are known Trump actions in 2017 that could cause an impeachment debate today (and no, I'm not going to list them here... they are known), there wouldn't be enough for me to vote Yes today and most Democrats in Congress agree. However, Trump will be facing impeachment talk from one angle or another until he is no longer president and he brings most of it on himself.

The Dems don't need to impeach Tramp. They are better off leaving the twit to his tweets. Every time he mouth-breathes more and more people are motivated to vote Dem.

Very unpopular president in the White House with a very low rated Congress in control of his party when the party in control of the White House typically loses seats, sometimes in large amounts?

I think most people are in a wait-and-see until Mueller starts dropping more legal bombs. Will it be before the election or after?

As of today, Trump may be an egotistical, obnoxious oaf of a president, but that isn't an impeachable offense. Not under the constitution anyway. Secondly, as long as the Republicans control the house, no impeachment charges will be approved. At least not yet. If the Democrats take control of the House in next years midterms, which seems more and more probable as each day passes. They can bring whatever charges they want against Trump. But for impeachment to be successful, it still requires 2/3rds guilty vote by the senate to remove the president. That won't happen unless the charges are for real, are really bad and most Americans are convinced Trump is guilty of whatever charges the house passed.

To remove Trump through impeachment the Democrats will need every single democrat in the senate plus between 15-20 Republicans to go along with it, viewing Trump guilty of some constitutional charge. Without most Americans believing Trump has to go, there is no way the Democrats can obtain 15-20 Republican Senators to vote guilty.

It a day dream today, Democrats living in fantasy land.

I don't think Trump will be impeached over the Russian investigation ... I think he is far more likely to be impeached on business irregularities and his possible connections with organized crime and money laundering. But I wouldn't put money on it.

I do think Trump is a one term President. I think he'll declare total victory (no matter the reality on the ground) and not run for a second term just on the possibility he would loose.
He really is too old to run again.

Now that Trump has signed the Tax Bill - big business will see him more as a liability against keeping control of the Congress = so first excuse they have, they'll throw Trump under the bus.

There will be a MASSIVE Blue Wave in 2018, and then all bets are off for Trump.

All they really need to do is decide they'd rather have Pence for president than Trump. Seems like a no-brainer.

Based on what? The individual mandate being gone so folks won't be forced to pay for what they don't want? The economy is over 3% growth for the last 2 quarters, unemployment is at historic lows more and better jobs are coming back, being available because illegal immigration is at a standstill. Good luck with your "blue wave", it will be more like the tidy bowl blue spin.

Andrew Cuomo, Liz Warren, are two very viable candidates.

You still have to have a valid and Constitutional reason for impeachment. Plus a majority Americans has to be for it. I'd much rather have Pence, probably 60% of America would.

Obstruction of Justice and nepotism are two great reasons.

That's what they said about Obama. I personally like Cory Booker. He has no negatives that I can see. He is popular, has a lot of charm and a fine public speaker. There is noise about Joe Biden, but I don't know how well he'd do.. I wish Russ Feingold would run. I think he'd make a fine president. He's a true maverick who isn't afraid to challenge his party's leadership.

There are many others in government who might run, but I'd rather see a regular working stiff run, like a farmer or factory worker. Really, there are scads of people who could beat Trump and his record-level unpopularity. But I don't think Trump will run in 2020. His ego won't allow him to risk losing. I don't think he ever expected to win in 2016. That's why he was readying his "rigged" storyline. He wasn't risking anything, because if he had lost in the EC he could have made up any number of excuses for it and still claim victory. And most certainly he would have filed a lawsuit or challenged the result in some other way. It is notable that Clinton did NOT do that. She made a lot of mistakes and was buffeted by a lot of attacks (some true, some not), but she did not make America go through a whole recount brouhaha or throw a fit and she deserves some credit for that.
