Executive Summary: dirtbag breaks into a home in the middle of the night with a butane torch. Motive unknown, but we can probably make a good guess. 14 yr old boy wakes up his grandfather just in time for dirtbag to kick in the door, and advance toward Gramps & his grandsons. Whereupon Gramps administers a well-placed bullet. Dirtbag assumes room temperature shortly thereafter.

..."When he kicked the door in he came at me," Robert said. "If he had ran away, I wouldn't have had to shoot nobody. I'd live with the broken windows and broken doors, but he continued to go at me."

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sergeant Amar Gandhi said the suspect broke into the front part of the shop and then was trying to bust through the door to the living quarters where Robert was sleeping with his 14-year-old and 4-year-old grandsons...

Even in the People's Republic of KKKaliforna, it appears Gramps is getting a pat on the back. It's probably fortunate he's dealing with a Sheriff's dept, and not a KKKalifornia municipal PD.

every month the American Rifleman-the flagship publication of the NRA, features 10-20 blurbs about righteous armed self defense. I was (my name was not used) in that 40 years ago so it's been going on for awhile.

So which are you, a pro Russian spammer or a right wing extremist? What's the agenda exploiting a tragedy to insult police? What point do you make?

Your pathetic attempt to differentiate a Sheriff's department from a municipal police department to express your slur of police means what-that you have no idea with these kinds of shootings both levels of police work TOGETHER and engage in the exact same protocol which is designed to have them in times of shootings work closely? You didn't know what?

In California but in all US states, sheriffs and city police departments have what are called mutual agreements that set out the protocol for cooperation particularly in shooting emergencies or when a crime crosses jurisdictional boundaries.

Please do not pose as an American and then show you do not understand how Sheriff level jurisdiction police and municipal police interact and help each other with shootings. Its pathetic and why I have to question whether you are a US citizen.

    Like you did not know:

    "
While deputy sheriffs and police officers have defined jurisdictional boundaries, there are circumstances where they may need to operate outside their primary areas of responsibility. These situations can include:
    • Mutual Aid Agreements: Many law enforcement agencies have mutual aid agreements in place, which allow officers and deputies to cross jurisdictional lines to assist other agencies during emergencies, major incidents, or large-scale events.
    • Task Forces and Joint Operations: In cases involving complex investigations or organized crime, law enforcement agencies may form task forces or joint operations that involve officers and deputies from multiple jurisdictions working together.
    • Hot Pursuit: In certain circumstances, officers or deputies may be permitted to pursue a suspect across jurisdictional boundaries if the pursuit begins within their jurisdiction.
    • Extradition and Prisoner Transport: Deputy sheriffs or police officers may be tasked with transporting prisoners or extraditing individuals across state or county lines, depending on the specific situation."
