From the outsider perspective I would be most satisfied with a US president who 1. has the willingness and the guts to fight back with all measures necessary against the woke, anti-White (in parts also anti-Asian), misandristic idiots. 2. keeps up the supply for the Ukraine until Russia is either collapsing or overthrowing Putin. 3. Keeps the economy on track. I think Peter Thiel himself would be a good president, but unfortunately like a lot of real capable people propably too busy. Trump vs. DeSantis? Difficult. My fear is that one of them could give Putin an opportunity to slip and restore his power. Furthermore as much as I hate leftist social justice warrior idiots, the pendulum should not swing into the complete other direction making America to the third theocracy joining Sadi-Arabia and Iran. A mixture of harsh and soft measures against the consume of illegal drugs would be welcomed by my side though. I think religous people of all religions could agree on that.
The most competent executives don't run for office because they are too busy. They simply don't want to endure American politics and most of them don't need the money. Your list above is fine except for #2. I'm not interested in paying for your problem.
Letting the Ukraine down and Putin get away with it will lead to much higher costs. On the opposite its a good investment for the US as they combined with South Corea proved themselves to be the most important export nation for military goods. Military goods are in one respect much more important than any other good, because the export nation gains some kind of control over the foreign policy of the country. In fact the performance of the Russian military is so pathetic so far, it can have a worldwide impact that many countries who relied on Russian weapons til now can look for other military equipment. Beside some other countries especially South Corea who has proven to be one of the most reliable weapon producers mainly the US will benefit from that. Without Putin gone there will be ne end for inflation and supply chain problems worldwide. With Putin controlling a huge part of the wheat production even food prices can rise drastically in the long run. It can lead to lost decades or more with regard to the world economy.
So we disagree. Not a problem. If you want to pay for it I support it. If I have to pay for it then I oppose it.
We will all pay this way or another. If we dont pay for the Ukraine, we will pay for the consequences that Russia wins this war. You can pay with inflation, high prices for energy and food etc. or you can invest money into the support of the Ukraine. Putin wont ask you after he won the war if you are willing to pay the prices of inflation, higher prices for food, higher prices for energy etc. You can of course evaluate things differently and withdraw your financial support, but Putin wont ask you for the the consequences he makes.
