Dictatorship is America's only hope

Well, the US is a nation which is corrupt, self-serving/perpetuating, and oppressive of its populace even with the illusion of freedom. And right now, it feels worse because in dictatorships there usually are minimum standards of living for people. In fact, given how the US caters to hyper-minorities which total less than 1% of the population, I don't see the two as much different and a period of dictatorship would do less harm than a second Civil War.

The easier solution is to let the northern states become SAR's of Canada, that perfect utopia which has never messed up ever, but the US holds its member states hostage.

Let the people vote and do it tournament style. It'd bring elections down to March Madness or American Idol levels and force people to be involved rather than be blind sheep.

 

I'd rather have the corporatists, lobbyists, CEOs, and corrupt politicians gone first. If we didn't McCarthy poison the well and didn't treat socialists and communists (and their ideas) as sub-human, the US would be a LOT better off than it is now.

Get rid of the progessives, open the political process to every one who is a citizen, kick out all illegals, seal the border, kick out all the Islamo's, no longer allow corporations to institute priceing schemes that favor them and other corporations to open up the economy, discontinue all business arrangements with China until they have an open political process and fair elections, just to start.

Better than secession is State's Rights. Everyone goes their separate ways and we only join forces when attacked. In times of war, we turn to the federal government. other than war, we handle things at the state level. Blue states become bluer and red states become redder.

The only thing the central government should handle is national defense like NATO.

 

That sounds almost too Republican. Coming up with an equitable way to divide the assets of each state between the two diametrically opposed parties would be a challenge too. Deciding that the two sides can't get along with each other any more is progress though. It's a better suggestion than Washington came come up with for sure.

Taking this one step further, would red states be governed by the super rich, and the blue states be governed by working people? Lotsa challenges here.

 

The reason I like strict state rights is because politicians can make all the mistakes they want and we don't have to worry because the only thing that these politicians can destroy is their own respective state. The nation as a whole survives.What are the odds of all 50 states getting it wrong simultaneously?
