I wouldn't call them fools. They lived in a time where there really wasn't any other explanation for anything other than the supernatural.

Now people in 2023 who still believe the stone age creation stories, that may be another story.

I'm unsure what is meant in 'linkage' between a concept of God and a theoretical understanding of the relationship of things that exist in the universe as espoused in astrology (i.e., "planets", "stars", "constellations", etc.). Do any of these objects, near or far, have a direct effect on individual human beings at the time of birth, or during subsequent periods in an individual's life? For me, anything like conclusive evidence of this is, uh, lacking.

Now, persons who believe in a creator-God think that God created the universe and everything in it.
Atheists, by contrast, believe that there is no creator-God, and that all this "stuff" that's in the universe just kind of inexplicably developed out of nowhere, all by itself, while adhering, we think, to what we assume are the Laws of Physics.

Maybe I just don't understand the OP's proposition fully.... :confusion:

I believe that our Creator in a sense "evolved" in Energy from Quantum Vacuum.......
and now our Creator..... [The Being of Light of near death experience fame]... is producing EIGHT BILLION
INTERACTIVE reality film projects... with all humans on earth!!!!!

We have far more power and ability to alter the future of the earth than we can even begin to imagine!

We prefer to think of ourselves as virtually powerless... so that we can blame the problems of this world on somebody else.

I wouldn't call them unusually foolish, just vulnerable to common aspects of human nature. People make up explanations even when there is insufficient evidence to explain something. And people make up comforting explanations when reality is both uncertain and difficult to bear. I don't tend to do those things, but I'm unusual in that regard I think. From a survival standpoint, it would probably be better to have these tendencies as people need to find a way to be okay with the death of their parents, their children, their own anticipated demise and move on and live life. That's harder if you can't lie to yourself and say they're in a better place now, and the people who wronged them are all getting what they deserve, etc.
