    http://www.thestreet.com/story/11260856/ford-pulls-ad-after-white-house-objects-report.html

Are we living in a free society, or are we living in one where our government tells us what we should do? what private companies should be doing? pathetic

What exactly is the source of this claim? Ford in your own article has denied it. The only "proof" comes from the columnist that originally wrote the article and he doesn't say where he got that information.

PR people at Ford are too wise to cite the reason the ad has been pulled.

It's like building a case on circumstantial evidence. Eventually the preponderance of evidence leads reasonable people to the obvious answer.

This is the M.O. of the Obama administration and doesn't surprise me at all.

I own 2 Ford products and will buy more Ford products

I own 2 older GM products which i restored but will never buy another.

If Ford just didn't have those darn head rests pushing so far forward I was close to convincing my wife to buy "herself" a crew cab F-150 Platinum. It would have been great for surfing and going out to the desert to shoot.

Clearly Ford pulled the ad for political reasons. The ad was very effective and they got even more press by pulling it than letting is sit. Good move!

I hope it lives on Youtube

and about the headrests. I hate them on my Mustang. I test drove a 2011 5.0 and sixer. I liked both, loved the five oh but those darn headrests. I'm keeping my 07 for a while longer

So then you cannot accept loans and bank with banks who accepted bailout money as well.

    Where did the government complain?

Ford is denying that they did and the only source is the writer of the original column who doesn't say where he got that info.

Did you not see the question mark in the title?

Normally, I would not really question this. But with this administration, I believe they probably did have an influence on the ad being pulled.

A thread based on "Did this happen?" kind of ruminating generally indicates that there is absolutely no evidence of it happening.

This particular thread illustrates that perfectly.

I can't imagine the thin-skinned Obama administration not objecting to the ad.

What we don't know is if they made Ford an offer they couldn't refuse to pull the ad.

I don't think the writer is imagining anything.

It appears he is reporting on information he gathered as a journalist.

I don't know how anyone can think an adminsitration that runs a "Rat Out Your Neighbor" website for citizens who criticize this adminsistration would stoop to forcing a car manufacturer to pull an ad. Or force banks to give loans to deadbeats. Or send in SWAT for a woman who didn't pay a student loan. Or, armed agents to seize raw milk.

Riiiiight. Obama, his admin (inclusive of czars) and union thug cronies never threaten anyone with retalitory actions for daring to possibly tarnish further, the already fully exposed false gloss of emporer Obama.

    What a joke.

So you don't have any actual proof and are instead relying on character smears?

Then why don't you go find some actual evidence before you start posting in this thread as if its already true?

The article, and many articles on a simple search shows the same thing.

Why don't you go post in a different thread or tell us how great Obama is before you start telling others what to do.

I don't think Obama is great. However, I also don't call him out on (*)(*)(*)(*) that has zero proof.

Your article provides none, yet you take it as gospel (given your "pathetic" pre-judgement).

That happened all the time when Bush was in office.

A partisan lib publication like the NY Times or Washington Post would publish an attack on Bush based on "unnamed sources" within the administration or the Bush campaign and libs would run with it as fact.

the ad atleast told the truth. and to be honest Government Motors is worth (*)(*)(*)(*) now, they dont have any cars worth a (*)(*)(*)(*). Ford on the other hand has made huge steps in their cars, they used to be complete (*)(*)(*)(*) but now even i am impressed.

actually thinking about purchasing a new Explorer for christ sakes lol, and i absolutely used to bash them until now. ill never again buy anything GM.
