@popscott Biden is on video saying he convinced the team to secure guarantees from Ukraine. This is all part of executive privilege. We have the memo from the State Department that shows it was US policy to have Shokin fired. The investigation is dead in the waters and will go no where.

Poroshenko announced Shokin resigned a month and a half (Feb. 19) after the Dec. 8 Biden visit... So Joe's bluster was pure BS. Shokin was not fired and shuffled out the door before Joe left as Biden let on...What a load of typical Biden garbage...

And even funnier... Reports emerged that Shokin was back at work after having been on vacation on March 16... .
The Ukrainian parliament, in a 289-to-6 vote, approved Shokin’s dismissal on March 29.... So almost 4 months lapsed before Shokin was removed.

Yes. It's customary to give someone some time before firing someone so they can find a replacement.

 

It's not blackmail. It's called protecting an investment. If the US wants Shokin removed, and Ukraine says no, should the US just give them the loan? That makes them look weak to Ukraine.

If you loan someone money to specifically accomplish a task, you have a right to be involved in how that task is carried out.

 

It is blackmail... it is US tax payer money...... It is not and never has been US policy to blackmail foreign countries....

I have been dealing with dementia folks a lot... this is typical denial that he sees himself capable of doing what he can not... and is not going to be told otherwise. This is elder abuse at this point.

 

It's odd, sometimes he seems completely incapable and other times he seems fine. I think he has a lifelong commitment to regular physical exercise and that is the only reason he is pulling this off at all, and he likely has a medication team that seems to have things dialed in better than they did previous to the last 6 months or so.
