There company is starting to realize they're pandering to people who can't afford to visit their parks, likely use another person's streaming account, and only go to the movies when their parents pay. There's nothing wrong with the expectation that society accepts everyone. Going after parents who want a say in what their kids are exposed to and politicians who agree is a recipe for disaster, and we've seen that.

I am just glad republicans exposed themselves that they will gladly move to penalize companies that dare speak against their policies while also destroying rondas presidential aspirations.

Hopefully corporations take note when they donate to secure their freedom of speech which has been abandoned by the right.

You'd think the left would support DeSantis taking away a huge company's special tax status. Not here though. A corporation that opposes a bill that bans the grooming a children by predators deserves government money in the opinion of your average progressive.

The DOJ is targeting Musk on several fronts. Also, what do you think would have happened if Facebook and Twitter told the government to F itself because they don’t want to censor people? And a few weeks ago I heard that Biden is ramping up a new ministry of truth, that new office would be useless if it didn’t have teeth to bite with.

    You left this out.

Disney has also faced social media backlash from conservative commentators over the casting of Halle Bailey, a Black actress, in the lead role of Ariel in “The Little Mermaid," though the movie ended up making $570 million worldwide, making it the seventh-highest grossing film of 2023 so far, according to Boxofficemojo.

Conservatives complaining about a black mermaid, another Proud moment.

I am guessing another garbage right wing social media attempt?

How is it being penalized? I searched and cannot find how any American politician is targeting them

Cool, then there are 1900 companies that best keep their mouths shut when it comes to politics.

Glad I could force you to clarify your statement.

    consider yourself clarified.

As I said, Disney spoke up about a bill that keeps predators away from children. Their special tax status is okay in the eyes of progressives.

There is a common theme lately of white characters being portrayed as black in New iterations.

Simultaneously, black characters can't be portrayed as white in New iterations because the same crowd who cheer this, would call it white washing and racist.

People get attached to characters and want them to remain whom they remember them as, and as they have always been.

I'm sure that if they did a remake of Roots and cast Danny Bonaduce as Kunta Kinteh, no one would say a thing.

Funny how when mentioning a freedom of speech media source... the left screams "right wing"... Yes... yes, we know you all only like "certain" free speech.

And if you think Brand is right wing.... you surely have jumped the shark. The ultra left has gone so for left, they are not calling liberal leftist as "Right wing".

Very happy to educate you, as always!

A conservative cheering a blatant abuse of government power to punish companies for speech.

No clarification was needed though — it’s obvious through everything y’all do and stand for.

I simply know when a conservative is defending something or making a remark — especially someone with your… history — it’s not going to be a moderate one.

But sure, whatever you need to tell yourself — in a thread where conservatives are cheering abuse of government over speech. How ironic!

You did not answer my question.

Care to try again or are we done here?

the 1st amendment protects against legal consequences. Not any consequences at all. How do you not know this?

There's really no problem with that or the Little Mermaid. Kunta and Ariel are both fictional characters. Make them whatever you want.

Now Alexander Hamilton on the other hand.......
