The DNC decided to hold their convention in a right-to-work state, but they seem to be trying to cater to their union cash-cow by forcing anyone to work at the convention to use union labor.

The DNC seems to prefer to alienate any potential voters in the right-to-work state in exchange for catering to their union friends. This seems like a foolish decision to me.

And if they didn't use union labor you would be calling the "hypocrites."

Well, there goes North Carolina. The whole point of holding a convention in a certain state is to generate jobs, help local business, and generate good will. The Democrats are doing the opposite, which is really, really stupid.

And for their food service it will all be provided by illegal aliens. They do try to appeal to their masses.

Perhaps. They could have held it in a union state, then it would have been natural to hire only union labor.

It just seems crazy to cater so strongly to a group that only represents about 7% of the non-government workforce.

The Republican convention was held in New York. Plenty of pissed off people there. I didn't tell them where to hold their convention. It's a free country.

Aah, but they used local labor, union or not. They didn't bring in out-of-state non-union labor to please their donors.

Plenty of stuff that pissed off the locals happened at the Republican convention. Sorry it wasn't the exact mirror image of EVERYTHING that is going to happen at the Democratic convention. Either party can have their convention where ever they want and run it within the boundaries of the law. I applaud the Democrats for making a principled stand. I'm sure if I studied the Republican convention there would be things that they have done that I don't agree with but can respect because they are a principled stand.
