The DSM is a guide to diagnosing mental illness, for those who don't already know. One of the creators of the last edition is worried that the new edition "will apply disease labels to individuals who may be unhappy or offensive but still normal." http://www.medpagetoday.com/Psychiatry/DSM-5/39232 As a leftist living in a rightwing country I am definitely unhappy. And my political views do make me offensive to the average American. So how much longer before outspoken political activists like me become a disease and not merely citizens with unpopular opinions?
