We Americans have become so used to the images of children chasing after American soldiers, begging for candy or water, that we take it for granted. Do liberals understand what an exception this is in the history of warfare? For thousands of years soldiers have raped women, pillaged cities and murdered children. The vast majority of this world's soldiers have acted this way: the ancient Greeks, the Romans, the Crusaders, and even the soldiers of England, France, Spain and other Western countries have engaged in this horrible behavior. In modern times, we have seen great atrocities committed by the militaries of Germany, Japan and the Soviet Union. Russian soldiers act like this TODAY in their war with Chechnya. Alone of the nations of the world, the American soldier has a pristine reputation as a man who does not rape women, does not pillage, and does not murder children. When these things happen, they are the exception, and the soldiers involved are punished severely. Liberals who besmirch the honor of our men serving overseas need to be outed as the traitors they are.
