Do you really want to be run by a Morman?

I don't want my life run by anyone- Mormon, Christian, Muslim.

However, I don't care about the Religion the person claims to believe in. I am not a Christian and we have had leaders claim to be Christian...and well both Jimmy Carter and GW Bush claimed to be born again Christians.

Judge a person by the values they demonstrate in their lives and espouse.

That said- I have personally known quite a few Mormons, and while I do not agree with their religion, the Mormons I have known have all lead exemplerary lives.

Stop with the fear mongering and religoius tests. Judge a person based upon what they say and what they do.

Actually I am right. I dated several Mormon girls, and the last thing I wanted to do was meet their parents. That was a definite deal breaker. The boys were for the most part extremely violent (was beaten on a regular basis until I learned how to defend myself properly, one of the best things I learned because of Mormons) and the girls were comparatively very horny as apposed to other girls in other religions.

My cousin actually married into the cult, but none of his family was invited to the wedding, since they were not Mormon they were not "ALLOWED" to attend. Yep they are so family oriented they don't include family at family celebrations.

    Don't tell me I don't know Mormons.

To me Mormons are the same as Scientology. Anyone willing to believe such blatantly false garbage does not have the mental capacity to lead the nation.

Will they try to imposs their views on the rest? Yes. Then they aren't good people.

They won't try to imposs their views on the rest. Then possible.

But, I would fear any radical religious, whatever the religion that practices. Is a very dangerous person.

The only difference between a cult and a religion is the size.

But I'm not referring to Mormons who showed up at my door. I'm referring to dozens of Mormons who I have met personally. They certainly are not evil.

In response to an earlier poster who said they try to convert, thats when I referred to a mission. Going door to door is a mission. What I meant to say is after they do there mission, they are done. Ive known both Mormons and Jehovah witnesses, Mormons rarely bring up the topic of faith, Witnesses are always ,:...god said this, god said that." in everything they do.

Absolutely my experience... it is that ridiculous repression which makes them typically over sexualized. Of course all people are different... but there is a general truth there.

Kinda where I'm at with em.

Let me guess... they invite you to dinner... give you some business... are incredibly kind to you, explain the random acts of kindness... then eventually those missionaries show up or call you.

At some of those dinners, there are missionaries there as well, who they are helping out while they are away on mission.

Always kind... well... except to their kids when they do not meet their approval... a little heavy handed sometimes...

    Sound about right?

They do not try to impose there views on you. They will give you info during their mission, if you are not interested they leave. I have never met a Mormon who tried to convert or impress any views on me, only offer an opportunity to hear them out. And being an American (which you are not) I have met plenty, not sure how many are in Spain. You are commenting on something you know little about.

I am personally an Atheist Evolutionist, I have no reason to defend there faith. But I will attack ignorance, and saying things such as this is a classic display of an ignorance of the facts.

That's absolutely right - had posted a few pages back that some friends went thru the same thing when their 2 daughters married Mormons - they had to sit in a separate room by themselves while their daughter was saying her vows..... Was really surprised when my friend told me about her 2 wedding experiences ....... man, that's absolutely cold .... for a 'family-oriented' religion..........

Well it has fewer alcoholics on average than most other states. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Are you against Mormons or Religion in general?

If have never experienced what you are saying, and as I have said I know dozens of Mormons and Im well into my later years of life. They are not any different from any one else of faith, with exceptions to Jehovah Witnesses. They (JW) are always trying to convert you.

As far as there individual practices, I could care less. Its not my business what someone does ion there own home as long as its legal. But that is not what we were talking about.

So they only spend millions imposing their views on you if you're gay and want to get married, huh?

I am not really against Mormons. I just believe in full disclosure. However I don't want to be led by anyone who believes their cultist crap... which is the only circumstance I have shared what I know.

You are telling me you have never been invited to dinner and then find missionaries there? It is part of the playbook. I would find your answer to the contrary dubious. They have this whole "I want to be your friend, not really convert you... by the way have you heard of the new testament to the bible?" Invite you to church... etc. Esp couples with children... of course if you were to convert... you wouldn't REALLY be a Mormon... they will take your money, and be nice to you... but not being bound in the temple will exclude you from the club.

    Be honest.

You defiantly have a warped sense of survival, but whatever floats your boat.

Dark alley between you and your car. Group of people in it. Does their demeanor matter?

You gonna make a judgment call as to whether or not to walk around or walk through them?

    It isn't warped at all.

Huntsman is the best that the GOP has to offer.

I'm not put off by a Mormon anymore than I would be by a Christian, Muslim, or Jew.

Every religion has its crazy views.

The reason I hate Mit Romney has nothing to do with his religion, but because he does not care about the average american......The fact that he jokes about being unemployed, even though he has over 5 million dollars and does not come close to having to live paycheck top paycheck, like most of the working class do proves that.

So, you advocate discrimination based on religion?

Besides.....anyone would be far better than the "community organizer" we have up there now.
