yeah, with Trump, they are rearing their ugly heads. I remember during the era of Bill Buckley, he pretty much got fed up with them and ostracized them. Without granddaddy Buckley to teach conservatives how to be conservatives, all that lurks in the mud has now hatched forth, Birchers, T partiers, white supremacists, nationalists, in whom they have found their champion, Donald Trump.
You don't think it's possible for a person to be critical of both parties at the same time? Interesting.
You ask that of someone who thinks political parties should be eliminated and who rails against partisanship constantly. I was countering a partisan post as I usually do.
So If I said that the Republican Party had become a Trump cult, but made no praises of the Democrats, that is automatically a partisan post? (I personally think the two parties have devolved into the Hatfields and McCoys).
Yes, it is. Bircherism is alive and well, and all over contemporary right wing media and social media. And the children and grandchildren of Birchers are the same people sucking up Q Anon memes and have their ears glued to the right wing talk radio. Birchers were virulently racist, xenophobic and jingoistic. They were also champions of ignorance.
Probably but I understand the point. Hopefully the political void won't devolve into shooting and murder like the Hatfields and McCoys.
