I don't like to be the one pointing fingers, especialy about this case, I didn't even read a lot about it, but from what I hear this guy repeatedly over many years not only molested, but if I understand correctly RAPED children... and this is far from isolated case.

What could be done with our justice system to eliminate such serious problems? in my opinion I have to admit I admire Iran for their way of dealing with this type of problem so I would introduce their type of system.

Also I wonder why did these victims not go to police right away and sought justice? but actually I remember being arrested once and spent 3 nights in jail and saw how police were basicaly molesting teenagers by way of "strip search" so there was no one to complain to.

Sandusky was obviously being protected by the system itself. Bernie Fine is a similar criminal.

There is growing evidence that the reasons why Sandusky was protected were that

    1) he was an important figure in a successful athletics program for Penn State that generated a lot of income

    2) he was using his charity to provide children to rich donors for rather disgusting purposes

It's very likely that many of the people involved in this awful situation will never be exposed because of the power they wield.

Sandusky will be prosecuted, and Paterno will probably be a major fall guy for much of the administrative blame. It's almost a given that local law enforcement was in on this as well.

In short, State College, PA is apparently being run by some very corrupt and (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up people.

I don't know if there really is any way to prevent more of this from happening in the future, since corruption is a very common human flaw.

This can happen in ANY closed system.. a church, university, children's charity..

It can get incestuous over time so they will circle the wagons to protect themselves and the institution.

Penn State is an arm of the government.

I think it's establishment versus society. if society would re elect all new leadership outside of the establishment media (cnn/fox/msnbc etc.) then all the establishments' criminals will be gone.

Society will never be rid of sexual predators/pedophiles.... I think the majority of those depraved maggots are born that way. They are what they are and there's no cure for them.....

Young kids don't go to the police to 'seek justice'.... these kids should feel free to go to their parents and tell them something happened, but many don't. It's up to the parents to make sure their kids know they can go go them about anything, any problem, any fear they may have ... whatever! When kids don't have this assurance from their parents, it seems like the sexual predators will find them.......

Sandusky was sodomizing boys 10-12-14 yrs old and he had been for several yrs. It's heart-breaking that those boys didn't have someone to go to for help......

It's sick and totally disgusting that McGeary & Paterno & all the others who knew didn't have the balls to stand up and demand that something be done about Sandusky.... they knew and they let the years go by w/o saying anything..... those people aren't any better than Sandusky...

We've feminized our men. Or rather, we've allowed public schools to feminize our men. That coach said, he slammed the locker door! He didn't GO to the aid of a CHILD! But rather he thought about it for the weekend and talked to his father. I'd be (*)(*)(*)(*)ed ashamed if i were a man and behaved like that.

LOL.. The "government" wasn't involved in the cover up.. Penn State was making 10 million a year or more on the football program.
