Does Serotonin deficiency increase cognitive ability?

    Well does it? Personally, I don't think so, though it might positively effect one's patience for rational thought.

    I presume that you are talking about possible effects of antidepressants which generally increase the level of serotonin availability in the brain. I find that they generally "stop the noise" in the brain and allow clearer thoughts.
