    YES! Cryptocurrency is taking off.

Dogecoin is a meme coin. It was basically started as a joke but with the help of Elon Musk and Dogecoin fans it has went parabolic! From about 5 cents to 27 cents in a couple of days.

Cryptocurrency is the future. Bye, bye banks! Bye, bye centralized currency controlled by banks.....and as a bonus I just made some sweet cash!

    Much Wow indeed!

Is there a LINK in there somewhere?
A Link is required in Current Events.

    I can't find it.

Could you direct me to the LINK (the the OP is based on)?

    Thx in advance

I don't see how sudden hyper-inflation, manipulation by rich and powerful individuals and the ability to some people to (temporarily) profit supports the idea of cryptocurrency replacing actual currency. If anything, it does the exact opposite.

Yeah, the whole thread according to the OP is based on a meme and a joke. This seems closer to the Reddit schemes of buying shorted companies than any real reason to buy cryptocurrency. This thread is more a reason to not buy it.

The hyper inflation is being caused by governments printing money. You obviously do not understand crypto.

Oh, I would not buy it. I did own some but only with money I could lose. I did make a lot though but I see it as pure luck.

I was talking about the hyper-inflation in DogeCoin, which you pointed out yourself was caused intentional manipulation by speculators (and probably trolls in this context).

    Not Doge but Bit:
A single bitcoin transaction uses roughly 707.6 kilowatt-hours of electrical energy–equivalent to the power consumed by an average U.S. household over 24 days, according to Digiconomist

The sooner crypto currency collapses the better

Biggest con men in this field are people like Elon Musk and Nigel Farrage who encourage others to buy whatever currencies those two already have which they will then sell making huge amounts

Nope. The rise of Dogecoin is mostly by Satoshi Street Bets on reddit.

Complete and utter FUD. Mining gold and gaming each consume more energy than Bitcoin. The banking system consumes much more. Going digital is way better for the environment.

The myths of bitcoin power usage: https://www.coincenter.org/education/crypto-regulation-faq/five-myths-about-bitcoins-energy-use/

Most cryptocurrencies are moving away from proof of work(mining) to proof of stake.

The crypto bubble is looking like the dotcom bubble.

A bubble? No doubt. That is part of the cycle. But did the internet go away after the dot com bubble burst?

I do not see any proof of your claim. Sounds more like folks who were afraid of the automobile and did not want to part with their horse and buggy.

Block chain is here to stay and will revolutionize the world we live in. Anyone working in the legacy financial system should learn to code now.

Yes, intentional manipulation by speculators and trolls as I said. And they're (largely) free to do that if they want, "buyer beware" and all that.

The fact remains that this kind of thing is actually one of the reasons cryptocurrency isn't (currently at least) suitable as any wide-scale replacement for actual currency.

LOL! Bitcoin now has a market cap of over 1 trillion dollars.....the higher it goes the harder it is to manipulate. Besides, are you saying that fiat money is not manipulated?

Democrats are planning a global attack on the dollar to support their coming terror riots. Democrats don't want Americans to buy crypto because it will take away pain crashing the dollar will cause Americans.

Crypto is the future. Buy in now.

If anything, Democrats mocking crypto should convince you to buy it.

No, everything in finance is manipulated. What I'm quite clearly saying cryptocurrency isn't yet ready to replace actual current at any significant scale and the events you seem to be using to promote that idea are actually one of the reasons it isn't yet ready. If and when any given cryptocurrency become stable enough to make that move is yet to be seen.

Yes it is ready. Why do you think the US treasury is printing dollars at massive rate? Answer: they know crypto is coming.

Democrats around the world are planning a boycott of the dollar and plan to dump it all at once to hurt Americans. Americans that get 1000 bucks from SS will soon feel like it's 100 bucks.

Maybe when it arrives you'll engage in a serious discussion about it.

It is here. Perhaps you should learn more about it.
