I guess the difference is that Clinton was paying a court judgment and Trump was paying hush money. morally equivalent but not legally?

There is no there there. What’s the point of the comparison attempt?

One is a civil case, the other is a criminal case. VERY different. It's not "Trump vs Stormy". It's Trump vs the American People.

Let’s say he did hump Daniels, here he is on the stand:

Prosecutor: why did you pay Daniels not to say anything?

Trump: I didn’t want to hurt my wife.

    Prove him wrong.

Of course. That's the name of the game. Prosecutors don't bring people to trial unless they HAVE proof. If they don't have proof, they simply won't bring it to trial.

You have contributed nothing new to the debate.

I don't think this would be the worst case Trump will have to go through. There are way worse crimes he needs to be concerned about.

The other difference is that the details of the Clinton affair had already been widely publicized before the payment so it is hard to see how this is hush Money.

I suppose the whole Cohen paid Stormy using his own money... and Cohen's attorney told the FEC that the Trump org, and Trump campaign didn't reimburse Cohen, in a legal affidavit to the FEC, Bragg seems to believe that he can simply avoid those facts, again.

Ask the fundamental question here. If ms Daniels accepted money, and facts and her own testimony is that she did, is she also not admitting to prostitution at that point? The statute of limitations runs out when? Given the payout, doesn't her payment for services constitute felony prostitution? Why isn't she being charged?

The faster you tap dance to obfuscate the essence of the case against Individual 1 the more you sound like the noise machine the Trump camp spews forth on every pending investigation he faces.

I mean, the left has always been better at getting around their corrupt deeds. They are smarter when it comes to this. It would be nice if they could apply this "talent" to making decent policies

I can think of 3 of them right off the top of my head, some of the most evil crimes in fact according to the left:
    1) straight
    2) white
    3) male

3 things that on their own, are only somewhat evil but put them all together into one package and you get PURE EVIL!!!

    LOCK HIM UP!!!!

now what you could compare is Trump saying he did not have sex with Stormy to Clinton saying he did not have sex Monica

but with your logic, I could say they were the same, just one did it under oath

And that would make him guilty of engaging a prostitute. Should he be charged for that too?

I think the message is soon going to go out to the left.

The Alvin Bragg investigation is a dry hole and is becoming an embarrassment. Let’s more on to Georgia.

No, it is not morally or legally equivalent. Clinton clearly committed illegal acts of harassment. We do not know what if any acts Trump did. There is nothing immoral, illegal, or untoward with NDAs aka "hush money". They happen all the time.

Not morally equivalent in the least. There is nothing untoward or immoral about paying someone for a non disclosure agreement...... happens all the time. Not at all the same as a judge convincing a perp to settle rather than face the embarrassment and penalties of being found criminally and civilly guilty.

Absurd. Clinton committed perjury in a civil trial for which he was fined 90k.
Trump has not been convicted of anything. And Bragg is finding even people in South Bronx ain't buying that listing payments to a lawyer as legal fees is criminal.

Clinton was impeached for lying to congress, perjury, obstruction of justice. He was acquitted or found not guilty in the senate Trial.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impea...8, 1998: The House, justice and abuse of power.

Bill Clinton’s indiscretions or charges stayed in the political arena, not the legal arena. With Trump, the hush money, the classified documents, interference in an election, (Georgia), along with the 1-6 special counsel investigation are all in the legal arena. In the political arena, Trump was impeached twice, found not guilty twice in the senate trials.

Bill Clinton’s was a political problem, Trump’s now is all legal problems. Huge difference, really no comparison when you’re dealing with two different arenas.

Except that almost all the legal problems are being pursued for entirely political purposes.

Clinton had major prima facie legal problems. It was legal problems that forced him to pay Paula Jones a huge sum of money and why he temporarily lost his license to practice law in Arkansas and at the supreme court, and he was always subject to criminal prosecution until the special prosecutor told him on his last day in office IIRC that he had chosen not to prosecute.
