OK incoming Democrat Congress, what are you going to be willing to do to work with Republicans to help mitigate a slowing economy, what are you will to do to work with Republicans to help keep the economic expansion going and people on the job?

Dow dives nearly 800 points on fears of economic slowdown

The Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged on Tuesday amid fears of an economic downturn, led by disappointing bank earnings and unresolved trade issues between the U.S. and China.

Pretty sure it ONLY dove for that reason. It has nothing to do with Democrats. Trumpists are so desperate at this point, it's just pathetic to witness.

Democrats take house, stock market hits the brakes. Coincidence? Lots of voters probably won't think so.

Well let's avoid the pointing fingers and figure out what needs to be done now, to let the economy keep chugging along. Granted we have been due for a cyclical slowdown but we can do as the Republican did in 2001 and mostly got it right or what the Democrats did in 2007 and 2008 and their disastrous results.
    So again
OK incoming Democrat Congress, what are you going to be willing to do to work with Republicans to help mitigate a slowing economy, what are you will to do to work with Republicans to help keep the economic expansion going and people on the job?

So far, the incoming Dem house has done nothing and proposed nothing to "slow" the economy. Even when they are sworn in in January, they have no power against a GOP Senate and a president with a veto pen.

I can see, however, that you already have your convenient excuse lined up for when the next recession hits: It's all the Dems fault. And, as always, you'll cherry pick data to support your unsupportable opinion.

My suggestion would be to **** trump and everyone of his personal decisions regarding trade and the economy.

The economy has continued to improve during his presidency in spite of his idiocy and it will suffer if his own policies are allowed to proliferate.

Maybe, if you gaslight them enough. You must be proud of a fake president who needs you to tell lies 24/7 to cover for his epic failures and misdeeds.

They are one of the Houses of the Congress, for anything to pass it must go through them. So again I ask

OK incoming Democrat Congress, what are you going to be willing to do to work with Republicans to help mitigate a slowing economy, what are you will to do to work with Republicans to help keep the economic expansion going and people on the job?

It's been over 10 years since the last recession. History says we are due for a slowdown if just to cut out the deadwood. Government policy can have an effect on that.

I expect they'll do what they were doing before the fake president came along -- responsible economic policy. It was working great under Obama.

    Remove the tariffs.
Quit raising the debt by asking for money for a mostly useless wall.
Don't cut taxes on the rich so they can buy back stock. Use the taxes to pay down debt/deficit.
Quit calling over 1/2 of America haters of America.
There's much more, but that would be more than Rs could actually accomplish.

PS - reduce the cost of healthcare. A promise by R's going back to 2010.

And the Democrats just took the House and any legislation has to go through them so again I ask

OK incoming Democrat Congress, what are you going to be willing to do to work with Republicans to help mitigate a slowing economy, what are you will to do to work with Republicans to help keep the economic expansion going and people on the job?

Well, well, weren't we told that we would all get tired of winning and now, less than one year after the reckless tax cuts, you are talking about a slowdown? How is that? I am sure not tired of winning. In fact, the measly tax cut I received was mainly eaten up by inflation. It made 0 difference in my household finances, yet, the government is in another $1.5 trillion hole.

So, what would YOU suggest Trump should do to avoid the coming slowdown? Cut more taxes? That would go well for the deficit? So, what is it? Tell us.

So what does that mean, what will they work with the Republicans to do that? What will they propose that is more responsible and would be better if more like Obama's policies? And you are saying the Democrats should work to get us back to the economy under Obama and the Democrats?

What did Rs do to not make it drop 800 pts in 1 day.
Or run sideways to down for 1 yr.
Reduce taxes that didn't do anything.
Ask for more taxes to fund a mostly useless wall.
Let tRUMP run ramshod over the country.
Get laughed at, at a meeting he was hosting of world leaders.
What did R's do to this country. Oh yeah, MAGA. LOL.

Now back to our regularly scheduled bashing of everything D. Who couldn't do anything for the last 8 yrs.

I asked you first, i believe we are all already aware of Trump/Republican policies. We've been talking those policies for two years now. This is about the DEMOCRATS who have just taken back the House and now anything passed will have to go through them.

    So again
OK incoming Democrat Congress, what are you going to be willing to do to work with Republicans to help mitigate a slowing economy, what are you will to do to work with Republicans to help keep the economic expansion going and people on the job?
