So again we see claims made but not backed up. There is a pattern here.

So far, China has promised to buy agricultural products on a one-off basis. Do that sound like a winner to you?

Negotiations continue. China’s economic growth must be kept at high rates of growth. They cannot afford to anger the US by refusing to reduce trade restrictions on US imports to China. Trump knows that. So yes, that concession is very much a winner.

It results from confidence. One of the negative aspects of a strong economy.

Actually it's the opposite. It's Trump trying to manipulate the US $.

    Not correct:

Tariffs are fees which are levied on the immediate receipt of goods in the economic cycle (import duty) or upon leaving the economic cycle (export duty).

Taxes are public charges that a community levies by force of coercion in unilaterally fixed amounts, and in a manner other than fees and contributions, without any consideration from natural persons and legal entities in its area of jurisdiction.

I heard a perspective on NPR that maybe Trade Deficits aren't all that evil.. It can be argued the Trade Deficit went up because the economy was better and we bought more stuff.... and payed the tariffs to the US govt to boot!!!!

We are being suckered every day

Whatever you want to call them... I am sure you will agree Americans are paying the tariffs (indirectly.. like Mexico pays for the wall) to the US Fed Treas

It is hilarious if you think Xi Jinping is paying it..

Wouldn't that mean the extreme measures taken by Trump was for nothing?

It's not that we are buying more stuff from China (hardly any change), its that they are buying a lot less from US, which is the exact opposite of what we wanted.

Looking at the data there has been hardly any change in imports coming in from China (tariffs on US consumer did not work), while there was a 23% drop in US goods exported to China (Chinese retaliatory tariffs worked). In other words, we are losing the trade war.

That's absolutely not true. Trump has many examples of renegotiated trade deals which benefit US workers. He is working to better the lives of US citizens which is why he won the election. The left still does not understand that.

Numbers don't like, so your claim must be something only a Trump supporter can "understand" aka "convince themselves to believe".

You're afraid to answer the questions I posed, but do try anyway.

    Jim Acosta.

Tariffs invite retaliation. Trump's tariffs on Mexico and Canada have met with tariffs on our goods from those countries.
Democrats have oftened supported tariffs, so who are you talking about?
    Your post: love of BS?

The questions are answered upthread. Why repeat everything for Jim Acosta ??

How is the Chinese economy doing btw ?? Why are the Europeans charging negative interest rates ??
