I wouldn't necessarily believe what Ayman as-Zawahiri said.. OBL's childhood was privileged and the Bin Laden family didn't follow Muslim brotherhood .....

Meanwhile all our leftwingers can howl in regards to Obama's endless screw-ups [both foreign and domestic in nature] is, "At least he's not a republican!" Thus we are inspired to posit the question, 'So then Democratic Presidents are not required to be competent?' In other words, like Jimmy Carter, like Obama, eh?

Even the adoring members of the mainstream media towards the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, when Obama was endlessly howling about the necessity of passing Obama Care, noted in articles that the fellow never made the transition as a speech-maker from campaign trail yahoo to sober and thoughtful statesman.

They reluctantly noted that Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton managed the transition after becoming president of switching from campaign mode style speeches to statesman speech mode . . . but not Obama . . . and those were puzzled leftwing tilting media analysits pointing out those facts.

You probably are not aware that the violent elements left the MB years and years ago and the MB left them.

But Glock....just a while ago you were saying if the Muslim Brotherhood gained power in Egypt the world would be doomed, and it would be all Obama's fault.

Now, the Egyptians themselves boot the Muslim brotherhood, and now Mubarek's people are back in charge. And that is somehow Obama's fault.

The article you cited doesn't mention how Obama's foreign policy has aided Al Qaeda in Libya, and that's a new one on me.

It may have been by accident, but last week Syria met thier deadline and coughed up all they were required to about the weapons. We're getting Asaad's chemical weapons and we didn't have to waste one bomb.

And you can't find anything bad about that so you hit the old fall back when you got nothin'...which is "Obama's a poor leader". It's old Glock, real old.

I have! And just like the Bible, anyone can find just about any justification for anything that they happen to be predisposed to want to find.

I evaluate the claims of religions, their adherents, their books, and esp. their doctrines by the fruits that belief in such dogma produces in the behavior of those that claim to be "believers". Like Jesus recommended, we should "judge the tree by its fruits". Need I say more?

I agree that both can be used to justify anything, but most Muslims are not fanatics or violent. They too are victims of the crazy terrorist types.

Some Muslims are crazy terrorists and some aren't. I don't excuse the ones that want to be or already are violent fanatics just because they are more seriously devoted to serving their literal Koranic notions of what their goofy god wants them to do. They didn't learn that way from being indoctrinated into Ghandi or Christopher Hitchens...

The US cannot install any leader in the ME.. He would be perceived as a US stooge..

This process is messy and I wish they had already settled down, but they have to do it on their own.

In 1954 Nassar expelled the MB from Egypt.. Some sought sanctuary in KSA.. King Saud tried to mend the relationship between Nassar and the MB.. He was not successful.. He allowed some to stay.. many were professors on the condition that they not teach their ideas.. They agreed.... but went ahead basically in secret.

That came to a head under King Faisal.

The Saudis have rejected the MB ideology since Hassan Al Banna.

Laden and Khattab were expelled from the Saudi Muslim Brotherhood. .. and they went their separate ways.
