The inevitable outcome of today's meeting called by Boris Johnson PM at 17.00 GMT is that a snap election will be called for the middle of October. Does anyone believe this will lead to a parliamentary majority? What effect do you expect this to have on Brexit?

My opinion is that the conservatives will win a majority after gaining back voters from UKIP, The Brexit Party and Labour (The ones who voted leave), whereas Labour will lose voters from the last election to the Liberal Democrats and the Greens.

    My predicted seats are below:
    Conservatives: 342
    Labour: 207
    Liberal Democrats: 36
    SNP: 31
    Other: 34

I simply cannot see Labour unifying and gaining votes from the last election now they are running on a Remain platform.

What kind of wall will be used to divide Ireland?

Seems I was a day early! My bad!

The UK has been clear that we will not put up any kind of wall. The real question is will Leo Varadkar or the EU risk the GFA and insist on a border?

I don't know what a "no border in Ireland" brexit means for trade and economics.
