    That's ok.
There are a few around that do benefit from a good conspiracy. Taking away only the core elements of the story should be the key focus.

I did read about his writings a long while back.
Especially regarding statins. And I generally agree with him about the harm of statins.
But the more I read his stuff, the more I realized his writing was a way to push those who read him to buy his products.

And there were times, several, where is writings were not making any sense. That's when I realized much of what he does and writes is to promote his products. And I've not read his stuff for a very long time.
It's my personal opinion of him. Not quite an all out snake oil salesman, but along those lines.

So now you understand the term 'antiphrasis'.

Yeah, it's a shame that there are people in this world who will take advantage of others via their gullibility.

How can you perceive he's up there for selling snake oil (but not quite), is it because the fact-checkers say so or is it that you haven't done any cross-examination of his work, such as corroborating data/info from others?

I have. I was with him on his statin stance.
I don't remember what else I was reading of his, this was several years ago. I just remember he was posting some fringe arguments and then would promote a product.
So, I stopped reading his stuff.

Yeah, I agree with you on statin drugs, they're evil. I've had my own experiences with them and when I did my research on them I stopped using them and changed my diet to combat the cholesterol issue.

Yeah, a bit dodgy when you use a potential conspiracy to market something for your own gains. The way I would perceive it would be to erase the hard sell of the snake oil and see if the potential conspiracy has any merit, rather than discard the man altogether.

He looks like a snake oil salesman on the surface. I have type 2 diabetes. I grew up eating foods full of processed sugar. I never could figure out why I was tired all the time.

    He's an alternative medicine practioner.
I wonder how and where big pharma came to be big pharma, was it the fact that they took all of the old-school medicines and changed their molecular structures so they could patent them as their own? So really, big pharma medicine should be called 'alternative medicine'.

The problem with people like Joseph Mercola is he a more polished version of Alex Jone. Jones is right - the pseudo oestrogen that has leeched into the waterways is changing the sex of not just frog but a lot of wildlife x that doesn’t mean they are “turning gay” but there is a kernel of truth in his bulltwang

    https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10028337/
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenoestrogen

Mercola just puts more pseudoscientific bulldust around his rubbish but in essence the quality is no better than Jones

“alternative Medicine” is simply treatments that have no real scientific backing.

Do you know what we call Alternative Medicine that has been proven to work?

    MEDICINE

As for “big Pharma” ( who I am NOT a fan of) you are PARTIALLY a correct. But not with all meds. Eg Glyceryl Trinitrate and Salbutamol have been on the market forever unchanged. But one group of meds that saw this phenomena was the Statins - when first released there were about 2 dozen “varieties” each with a slightly different “advantage” eg Pravastatin could be taken even if you were eating grapefruit whereas it can interfere with Atorvastatin
    https://www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/medicines/does-grapefruit-affect-my-medicine/

    T
he drug companies were not only competing with each other but, in America, they use the alternative formulations to renew patents when the original patents expire.

    Then came the Aussies :D.

See our government has this allergy to having to spend money that it does not have to. Ergo the PBS reviews the meds on the market placing only the cheapest and the most effective on the PBS list. Plus it is illegal to advertise medications in any way here in Aus so these newer formulations cannot be “sold” to medical officers Nd certainly they cannot receive kickbacks and freebies for prescribing them ad they can in America

You've not proven anything to me in the past (snake oil), how do I know you're not full of "bull twang"?

How come you didn't deem the covid injections as "snake oil", did that one slip past you?

Which includes, apparently, using acupuncture to “cure” a Taipan bite.

    The patient did not survive

Perhaps that is because you are not listening to the right people? Mate I did this professionally for over thirty years - YOU have not proven any of your claims in relation to the COBID injections, well other than the fact you are filtering the information through a cognitive bias. I have started discussing things with you again but if you show further signs like you did earlier in your replies I will, for your own good, cease to reply to you OR confine replies to one or two a day.

See I don’t need to “prove” anything about COVID injections as I have not just a multitude but a myriad of professional experts on my side - you only have Joseph Mercola and the “Dirty Dizen”. Along with some rip snortingly hilarious claims about Microchips, magnetism and “shedding” to name but a few, though I think you missed the one about “chemtrails”

    QUE? (KAY=WTF)

As for the rest of your post that was attached to the above quoted, WGAS. A poor excuse, a cop-out to dodge questions that are too challenging. I know, dodging questions for 30 years until now.
As for the covid injections, I and others have posted countless amounts of info, it's not our fault if you choose to dismiss it all.

Here is one that got past the censorship radar...

‘We were all forced’: Mum of ‘healthy’ 21-year-old who died after Moderna blames vaccine mandates
The mum of a “fit and healthy” 21-year-old from Melbourne who died after taking the Moderna vaccine has blasted authorities for mandating Covid injections.
