Elon Musk to the rescue, part three! Part one: Last December, Mr. Musk, speaking of Build Back Better said, "I would just can this whole bill.... It might be better if the bill doesn’t pass because we’ve spent so much money, you know, it’s like the federal budget deficit is insane."

In other words, he helped save America and kill the bill. Thank you, Elon.

Now more recently, a month ago, he said, "Hate to say it, but we need to increase oil and gas output immediately." Thank you again, Elon.

ELON MUSK TWEETS FIRST WORDS SINCE BECOMING TWITTER’S LARGEST SHAREHOLDER

Then, we learned today about "Elon to the free speech rescue" by staking out a 9% investment in Twitter, which will make him the largest shareholder, which at least theoretically means he can kick Twitter's free speech suppressing left-wing butt.

We learned today the Twitter share purchase began March 14. On March 25, Musk posted a poll on Twitter saying, "Free speech is essential to a functioning democracy. Do you believe Twitter rigorously adheres to this principle?" 74% said "no." 29.6% said "yes."

The day after he commented, saying Twitter, "failing to adhere to free speech principles, fundamentally undermines democracy." Got that totally right.

Mr. Musk is essentially putting his own money where his mouth is and that is a wonderful thing….

arry Kudlow is exactly right. Elon Musk is a great American! I’m so happy that he’s doing this. Three major issues recently and Musk has been right about all of them.

I bought Twitter stock so that if there is a hostile takeover at a shareholders meeting I can do my part to fight big tech censorship!

Can you explain how Twitter banning users that violate TOS equals government censorship?

I just did. TOS that bans speech critical of government policy. Is, de facto, government censorship.

A corporation can not violate a person’s free speech. You’re using their platform. You’re not entitled to it. You break the rules they can decide you don’t get to use the platform.

You always have the option to buy a bullhorn and shriek on the street corners if you like.

Exactly. Twitter is acting as an agent of the present regime by its actions thus making it unconstitutional. Since government won’t act to protect the people, a hostile takeover of a corporation working hand in glove with government is the alternative. Of all the big tech giants, Twitter is their weak link.

I wouldn't be so sure about musk doing anything about Twitter. If he does anything it'll be too make it more profitable. I'm not sure because I've never used Twitter how it makes money but I'm guessing it runs advertisements. So because they really are the purse strings they are in control.

You want to hurt them or make them change, quit being their product.

Why do they ban people for telling the truth about men and women but not kiddy porn posters?

    The TOS script is nonsense.

Those are some pretty vague statements. I look forward to examples to clarify.

    Oh lord, here we go.

Vague statements followed by “Do your own research.”

Surely you could find articles reporting on the apparent acceptability of CP on Twitter vs. the apparent ban on “Telling the truth about men and women.”

When the enterprise is a captive of a government entity frequently threatened by the government with regulation, ie death by a thousand cuts delivered by obtuse bureaucrats, if it doesn't comply with government censorship requests.

Can you demonstrate that to be the case? I don’t see any indication that Twitter has been nationalized.

this site has a TOS, even Trump's site has a TOS

Twitter is a free site, not a pay site, it's a members only club

I hope he does create the edit option. Beyond that to go from "passive investor" to sitting on the board in a matter of 24 hours means more is coming.

Everything Musk does is done with the interest of increasing his wealth. Twitter makes money. I doubt he’ll be interested in doing anything to rock that boat.
