I am sure it was just hot and thats the reason for her racism. She seems lovely. The person who hired her should also be fired.

Brookfield Zoo said it will look into allegations that a zoo employee posted a racist comment about serving "rude a-- white people" to social media while working at the facility.

A photo posted Monday shows an employee wearing a Brookfield Zoo uniform with a caption reading “at work serving these rude a-- white people.” The photo tagged Brookfield Zoo and almost immediately sparked outrage from some customers.

One customer posted the woman’s photo to the zoo’s Facebook page and wrote that she felt the post was "extremely racist" and the employee “crossed the line.” Her post was shared more than 6,000 times and had more than 7,300 likes by Tuesday morning.

“We do not tolerate this behavior and are looking into this matter,” the zoo said in a statement.

The zoo also posted to Facebook Tuesday morning that they were still investigating the situation.

Since the initial post, hundreds of customers have written on the zoo’s Facebook page, calling for the employee’s removal. Some, however, have said the employee shouldn't lose her job over the post.

The employee later posted a response on the social media site saying, "I know what I am & racist is not one of em."

Imagine a white employee wrote "working with rude ass black people." They would have been fired immediately. That fact the zoo is "still investigating" the incident is a joke.

We must come down hard on any form of racism against any person/people.

Yep, fire her. Even without the "white" part thrown in, an employee (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing about being an employee like that were others can see it is bad publicity and bad for business. Everyone (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)es about their job but if you're (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing about your job on the internet and you're identifying where you work and who for, well, dumb idea.

We all see what we want. How about defending her about posting a pic of a child in a stroller and remarking about her bottle? I mean are we sure this isnt Rachel Jental, Trayvon Martins girlfriend?

"rude a-- white people" makes it pretty clearly racist imo.

What on earth are you talking about? Why would Trayvon's ex girlfriend be working at a zoo in Chicago?

I'm not defending her at all I just don't see the racism. Please explain where she implies blacks are superior to whites. She'll lose her job because she bad mouthed customers while on the job and drew all kinds of negative attention to the place but it wasn't racist.

I see a lot of people on here complain about the race card and then can't wait use it themselves.

Where does she claim blacks are superior to whites?

I think you need to look at the definition of racism. Was it an uncalled for and unprofessional comment that should get her fired? Yep. But it wasn't racist by the definition.

    Then it's not racist.

racism - the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. LINK

    There is none.

    Racial prejudice, yes.

    Racism, no.

People tend to group bigotry, prejudice, stereotyping and racism together as if there all mean the same thing (racism), when in reality the words have different meaning.

I don't see racism either... Prejudice, yes, but not racism. She has the same attitude that you get at any fast food joint around here unless you go to Cane's or Chick-Fil-A. I will admit, however, that I saw this coming after all the recent events of false racism cries. You can only push the majority around for so long.

As far as her serving rude ass white people, she chose that job and now when she leaves, she won't qualify for unemployment. I'm sure some lefties will fall in line soon to defend her, if they haven't already.

Unbelievable. I'm dead serious when I say that black people can say whatever they want negatively about white people, and NO ONE demands justice. But if a white person sneezes by a black person, he's a "racist bigot". Until the left stops idolizing Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Barack Obama, and Eric Holder, the king racists and racist supporters, THERE WON'T BE EQUALITY.

It was prejudiced, bigotry is being intolerant to those holding different opinions... We all fit that definition.

Not by the standards that were set in 2009. But what people confuse racism with is prejudice.
