Enemy Propaganda, the art of disinformation and political motives all merge.

The NYT writing about the attempted sale of 'compromising information' by a Russian person to US intelligence sources has proven what I suspected all along: None of the information is germane. Not Steele's, not Shearer's, not anybody's. The Russians engaged in a counterintelligence operation. Possibly around the same time that Page was identified as a Source.

It was very convenient to the Russians that the man was allowed to continue to roam free. From this link, they could conjure stories of a sex tape, of collusion. Of payoffs. All of these fabrications were 'believable' from the standpoint that the West accepted them. All to the advantage of Vladimir Putin.

Many were confused by this fact: Didn't Putin want Trump to be his asset? His mole that would make America a client state? Putin doesn't want America as a client state, he wants America obsolete. Sure, America as a client state is tempting but the Americans would find out their asset sooner or later. Especially if Trump is as simplistic as many claim.

It was far riskier to associate with Trump in fact, rather than actually create a story of association. A story is unproven, and it undermines both the incoming President as well as the US Government.

But not even Putin expected these payoffs in terms of what has happened: The US Intelligence sources were politicized, they would spy on their own people and undermine their own credibility. In addition, Democrats fundamentally and philosophically opposed to Donald Trump would sooner believe Russian Propaganda than accept Donald Trump as President. This could be said for never-Trump Republicans as well.

It was a perfect storm of libel, American vulnerability and politics for the Russians to infiltrate far deeper than bots, or facebook/twitter accounts. The Russians interjected false propaganda, that they can neither prove or disprove.

Our US Intelligence is compromised, the heart of our system is compromised until we can do one thing: Accept Donald Trump as President. The moment we do that, end a probe that cannot be proven the Russians will be kicked out of our system by default.

TLDR: The Russians have created a Trump-Birther movement in America, and only when we reject false propaganda from the Russians can we restore faith in our government and our system.

All of the information was enemy propaganda. Our politics blinded us to enemy propaganda. We must now move to counter our own stupidity by acknowledging Trump as President.
