First of all, theres nothing more than the NYT saying that signed paper form the lawyer exists. But regardless, I don’t think you read your source. From your source:

“Mr. Corcoran and Ms. Bobb showed Mr. Bratt and his team boxes holding material Mr. Trump had taken from the White House that were being kept in a storage area, the people said.

According to two people briefed on the visit, Mr. Bratt and his team left with additional material marked classified, and around that time also obtained the written declaration from a Trump lawyer attesting that all the material marked classified in the boxes had been turned over.”

I’ll ask you again. If they KNEW the documents were there as the affidavit says. Given the supposed high level classification, Why didn’t they take them with them and verify they had them before they left?

Because they didn't know Trump still had classified material until after they left in June. An informant tipped them off after their final meeting that Trumps team were still hiding documents.

As I told you they didn't have a search/seize warrant in June and had to rely on Trump/Corcoran and Bobb to hand over all the remaining classified documents, which they said they did (lied) and showed the agents where the remaining documents were stored.

Trump Had More Than 300 Classified Documents at Mar-a-Lago - The New York Times (archive.ph)

    Snip:

"Soon after beginning their investigation early this year, Justice Department officials came to believe there were additional classified documents that they needed to collect. In May, after conducting a series of witness interviews, the department issued a subpoena for the return of remaining classified material, according to people familiar with the episode.

On June 3, Jay Bratt, the chief of the counterespionage section of the national security division of the Justice Department, went to Mar-a-Lago to meet with two of Mr. Trump’s lawyers, Evan Corcoran and Christina Bobb,

and retrieve any remaining classified material to satisfy the subpoena. Mr. Corcoran went through the boxes himself to identify classified material beforehand, according to two people familiar with his efforts.

Mr. Corcoran showed Mr. Bratt the basement storage room where, he said, the remaining material had been kept.

Mr. Bratt and the agents who joined him were given a sheaf of classified material, according to two people familiar with the meeting. Mr. Corcoran then drafted a statement, which Ms. Bobb, who is said to be the custodian of the documents, signed. It asserted that, to the best of her knowledge, all classified material that was there had been returned, according to two people familiar with the statement."

Even if the FBI was informed before the June trip to Mar a Largo that Trump had stashed classified docs in his bedroom etc UNLESS the FBI had a search warrant that day to look for them they had to rely on Trump's lawyer's Corcoran and Bobb to hand over all the remining classified docs as said in the subpoena.

And history shows they did not.

That's true. I find it off people are now pivoting to questioning why the FBI didn't do the search earlier, when they previously complained Trump is FPOTUS who needs to be treated with kid gloves.

False. The affidavit makes clear they were aware of the material they claim was there BEFORE the June meeting.

    So what’s the next excuse?

They had a subpoena for those documents. Your assertion is that the trump team was not forthcoming the first time. So now you’re trying to argue that the FBI just took them at their word and didn’t verify the information they claimed they were given?

Thats bullshit. The FBI is not going to show up with a subpoena and just take your word that you gave them what they asked you for. That’s wholesale preposterous.

Why did they not verify that (according to their bullshit) some of THE MOST CLASSIFIED documents in the American government were provided to them, which was the ENTIRE POINT of them showing up, before they left?

They simply had to verify and recognize those docs were not provided. Your argument is preposterous. That’s like saying the FBI showed up at the mafias house provided them a subpoena for documents and then didn’t verify that the documents provided were the ones they asked for. That’s wholesale stupidity.

Post the link(s) where it's stated that the subpoena lists specific classified documents for Trump & Co, to hand over.

And if they WEREN’T on there then on WHAT GROUNDS does anyone assert they were important enough to raid an ex presidents home over them without even asking for them back?

This is like a freaking twilight zone episode where otherwise intelligent people have been infected with some kind of disease to hate someone so much they throw out all sense of reason and logic. This is insane lol

They had a subpoena for the June visit, to inspect the facilities and look at security videos, but is unclear if the subpoena covered documents. In any case Trump personally invited the FBI and DOJ back down if there was anything else they needed or wanted to look at The DOJ's/FBI's conclusion at the end of the June visit was that everything looked in order though they did ask for a second lock on the storeroom door..

They/she does not know that any more than they/she can fly to the moon. First, Trump having classified documents is not against the law or is not anything wrong or untoward. Second how could she possibly know what documents with a Classified mark Trump did not declassify, which he can do unfettered by just waving his magic wand.

Has anyone heard either of Trump's lawyers, Christina Bobb or Corcoran deny her signing a statement claiming to have turned over all the classified docs to the FBI, according to the best of her knowledge?

Bobb's has been on every right-wing media available and I've yet to hear her deny the claim.
Corcoran has not mentioned it in any of his court filings.

If it isn't true Bobbs and/or Trump & Co. would never just let it slide.

I'm afraid you'll have to ask that question to the FBI. I'm not sure they'll answer you immediately, though.

They had subpoenaed Trump for classified documents in June. An FBI informant alerted them that there were other sensitive documents Trump's team did not show them during the June tour.

Why was Trump not being up front about what documents they had?

Because the subpoena didn't cover it so they werent allowed to inspect it. When they left, Trump's lawyers signed a statement confirming all documents had been turned over.

An informant tipped the FBI Trump was hiding more secret documents. How long should it take for a private citizen to hand over government property?
