I was told twenty or thirty years ago that some time in 1945 as the Russians were getting closer and closer and closer to Berlin......... ...that Adolf Hitler stated something to the effect of...... This marketing strategy will work here in Canada......... tell us something is a possible suicide mission,......... and you have got our attention..................... .... to a degree this could be something of an inferiority complex........ or perhaps we are overly determined to hold up our end of the stick when we go into battle alongside New Zealanders, Australians.... Gurkha ...... and American soldiers............ .... we admit that each of these groups of soldiers have us outclassed in some ways.......... .... so we do try our best to make up for what we lack in other areas by at least showing courage........ The casualties among WWI soldiers from Newfoundland impressed even Adolf Hitler........ .who is said to have been nearly suicidal himself.......... and it was like spiritual forces were keeping him alive and relatively unharmed...............?!
