According to Aljazeera.com the EU has lifted the arms embargo on Syrian rebels allowing other countries to supply them with weapons. Do you consider this to be a good thing or a bad thing?
The US is not in the EU so the Euro's can do as they please. More weapons means the Arab crazies will kill each other even faster.
EU probably sees this as an opportunity to sell weapons and make profit , they have zero interest in who wins .
I saw it on the local fox station at work. I'm sure a google search will bring it up. https://www.google.com/search?q=EU+...t&rls=com.yahoo:en-US:official&client=firefox Arming allies of AQ is not a good idea but hey there is money to be made!
Is the OP asking me the wisdom of arming terrorists so they can take down a regime with the worst biological weapons on the planet in its arsenal? Well it worked out so well in Libya... what could go wrong?
A good thing. From what I can tell, the Islamists and Islamofascists among the Syrian rebels were being more successful in getting arms than were the more moderate elements of the Syrian resistance. It is in the interests of the West to give the moderates a leg up in firepower so that if Assad loses they can face the Islamists in strength and hopefully back them down (even if it takes a second civil war).
Aren't these the same scumbags that opposed Russia from sending arms to the lawful Syrian government, you know those guys actually fighting terrorists?
