Well your opinion would be wrong. You see the studies do not compare the UK to mainland Europe as a whole entity. It compares each individual country. And by your rationale, that would mean that the UK with the 3rd largest EU population, would be at the top of the league of social mobility. Meanwhile it's at the bottom.

Which backs up my case against Federal EU. My observation is that countries with smaller populations are more easily served by their governments. The obvious anomoly is Germany, but they seem good at everything....

 

Raymondo - just as a matter of interest, where are you from. I'm speaking as a Brit, so I'd say my observations are based on experience.
