There really is no discussion with someone so woefully out of touch as to claim that we "have no interests" in such a significant trade and strategic partner as Europe. Jesus, dude.

That is when it began, not a mere 30 years ago. But I know that you're out to slander Bill Clinton since Putin hates the Clintons and you tend to believe and say whatever Putin wants you to believe and say.

It's interesting to see you lavishing praise on Commie China now as well, incidentally. Where do you stand on North Korea and Iran? Do you adore them as much as you do fascist rashka?

Such a trade partner that as I said, they pursued Chinese-esque policies and relations(something you didn't deny, because it in fact happened.). I am not the one of touch, we are the ones giving the Europeans, I'm sorry the so-called 'international community' a discount, a massive discount on our military funding and god forbid boots on the ground.

We are a glorified mercenary state for the international community, please show me how the relationship is more even between the two sides.

Victims of what? Were they going to be skinned? In Russia, they live no worse than the Baltic countries. Or do you think that there is a terrible dictatorship in Russia and all dissenters are shot?

And let's remember what territory the English colonies originally occupied in America! And by the way, let's remember that Texas, Florida, New Orleans and California belonged to Spain and France.

What about the French, Spanish and Portuguese? Why pick on the English?

    True.....

Why pick on the English??....let's remember that the Brits allowed freedoms of religion & expressions.

Would the French,Spanish, Portuguese(to a lesser extent)have allowed it back in the day.

One example is Brazil....Portuguese speaking surrounded by Spanish speaking nations.

Initially, the Spaniards came into Brazil.....with guns blazing, determined to show who is the boss!.....local indigenous revolted and fought back.....Portuguese arrived later.....not with guns blazing....but bearing gifts....local indigenous were accommodating...and wanted more, Portuguese obliged, but wanted the locals to work for them in order to get more trinkets.

Long story short....that's why 270 mln Brazilians speak Portuguese today.

And Peter the Great bought the Baltic States from Sweden. For a huge sum at that time - 2 million silver tallers. This was half of Russia's annual budget.

Is that some kind of joke?

I mean lets ignore the fact that living standards in the Baltics is significantly, that they build up a succesful economy, which overtakes the Russian in every aspect per capita, thats not even the point. By the way, no doubt that the Russian economy will go downhill rapidly due to this war and is already way behind, the Luhansk People's Republic is the more coherent comparison to what awaits occupied territories economically, wouldnt you agree? However, economic issues arent the most relevant considerations when it comes to that.

We see the genocide in the Ukraine and thats exactly what will happen with the Baltics. If an occupier can kill you anytime, can put funny videos in the internet in which he castrates you and let bleed you out or in case you are a woman you can get raped everytime and your children are dragged away with the intention your language your culture, everything you are vanishes from the earth, your salary isnt your biggest problem.
