First off, that quote is “so” wrong.. Scientist haven’t been confident about evolution for the past 150 years… that’s ridiculous for the author to say that… Then the author states “so many observations and experiments” but doesn’t list ONE!

Next, I don’t get involved with the whole “evolution vs creation” crap. They seem to like to “stretch” the truth and “over-exaggerate” finding… I have never heard anything good from them – they misuse “evolution” and try to stick it in where it doesn’t belong. When I read things that state “we have observed evolution” when it’s simple adaptation and still within the species level. They scream evolution when a moth gets spots… Hogwash… Is it evolution when a child is born albino?

Actually, the eye isn’t the most complex part of anatomy. It’s the Nervous System, and it’s the most complex thing in our known universe… They eye I believe is second… :)

He also stated in Chapter Six that he can’t believe that there isn’t anything evolving now. He asked why does everything seem completed? If evolution was real, we’d be able to walk out our door and just “see” it…

Life doesn't necessarily change due to evolution - if it is successful as it is, then selection will tend to favor that form. However, it's highly unlikely that every kind of ant we have around today was around 1 million years ago. Those ants would have been common ancestors to many varieties alive today, and they would have had their differences from modern varieties.

And now, some random yet relevant information:

    Abstract

Two worker ants preserved in amber of Upper Cretaceous age have been found in New Jersey. They are the first undisputed remains of social insects of Mesozoic age, extending the existence of social life in insects back to approximately 100 million years. They are also the earliest known fossils that can be assigned with certainty to aculeate Hymenoptera. The species, Sphecomyrma freyi, is considered to represent a new subfamily (Sphecomyrminae), more primitive than any previously known ant group. It forms a near-perfect link between certain nonsocial tiphiid wasps and the most primitive myrmecioid ants.

because common sense has already been established in the thread, that idiots dont believe in evolution and evolution is a part of nature.

Only morons that discount life to the acceptance of beliefs in theology have any doubt about life evolving over time.

the idiots that spew the word evolution are ooooosually the people that dont like to learn about it, to evolve.

Darwin, had enough EVIDENCE recorded himself to prove the 'transmutation of species'. The ONLY thing left is the mechanism at the molecular level to be defined for the combining of the scope from a micro to macro scale of comprehension.

evolution is a process of change

    nothing more

and any idiot denying it, just dont wanna change their scope of understanding

that's about as simple as it gets

    NOW THIS IS FUNNY!!!!!!

    HA HA HAAAA!!!!

Now that was funny!!! Yep, evolution will take place when water doesn’t put out fire but actually burns ON TOP OF IT!!! Yep… So… The day your bowl of tomato soup catches on fire you better watch out and not have kids, you are a land creature and I don’t know how you’ll take it if your wife (or you if you’re female) give birth to some half man/half octo-squid, jelly-crab, dork fish.

The next verse states that be aware of evolution happening on the day you dip your cockatoo in gasoline and set it ablaze - you won’t be busting out the wing sauce that night since the flames won’t hurt it and evolution is taking place outside your door…

    Now THAT was funny…

And please – Darwinist - don’t start throwing your neighbor’s cat on the BBQ to prove evolution tonight… :)

I was trying to find out if they extracted DNA from those ants/wasps… I can’t find crap on them at all… All I found was – wiki… Still searching though… Anyone have any links with what or how or who did the DNA or whatever…

What was that you said? Oh yea - that's right - "the idiots that spew the word evolution..." How many times did you "spew" the word evolution in your post? I count three (3)... Does that mean in your post you are suggesting you are THREE TIMES the idiot than most?

    :boo:

    I'm not understanding... Please explain...

Why do people respond to your posts? Do you think it made ANY cents? (did that on purpose readers...)

    I comprehend evolution.

it is you that has a hard time with it.

ie.... the joke is on you!

i dont work on government funds and then waste taxpayers money posting on the internet, like you do.

that joke is on all of us!

Yes they just came form non ant ancestors and there decedents may not always be ants but ants are ants all right anything born an ant will remain an ant at least naturally

I had to help with your sentence structure there - Put some capitals where they need to be - punctuation and so forth - now it's readable to the rest of us (no need to thank me)...

Now what do we have here… Bishadi… Ha… This should be entertaining! You comprehend evolution? No you don’t… You posted that your grandparents to you is evolution… You have no clue what evolution is. I do have to ask since I… Well, everyone is wondering – do you even understand your OWN posts?

Read this cryptic chaotic crap -
Punctuation is a wonderful thing… You should try it sometime! It’s called English – use it!

Now, I will address both posts – Question – if evolution ISN’T proven at the molecular level (which it hasn’t) then is there evolution? If evolution can’t happen on the molecular level, is there evolution? So… riddle me this – the joke is on who for believing in something that isn’t proven? Unless of course you can provide common descent/ancestry on the molecular level… Because we all know that Bishadi is the genius on this site!! You would never post something retarded huh?...

And we already know you have no job Bishadi… And “PAH-LEEZE” about the wasting of taxpayers money – you don’t pay taxes for ME…. (Well, you’d have to have a job to pay taxes now wouldn’t you – kinda rules you out). Also, let’s say I make $65k a year, how much in your “lifetime” goes to my paycheck or salary? I might want to keep it simple – I’ll say salary, don’t want you getting confused on the math having to divide that BIG number up into paychecks…

How many people respond to you still? Only new people I bet..... Since you’ve been kicked out of all the “other” forum sites….

    :)

Okay - you got me on that one!!! Ants didn't come from a different lifeform... Nothing "evolved" into an ant. If so - then what?

Is anyone going to explain how natural selection works in insects, plants, and simple life? Anyone?

Yea, we get the whole animal (as in beasts) scenario about how natural selection works (which is incorrect since most animals mate with the brightest or loudest, not the strongest and smartest and most camouflaged), but how come, the largest groups of life do not follow natural selection?

Explain natural selection with bacteria in between your butt cheeks? How does that work? How does natural selection “select” life that replicates to “not” replicate bad mutations? Anyone…? Anyone…?

How does natural selection stop a tree with a bad mutation from dropping seeds or from birds eating them?

How does natural selection stop bees from pollenating flowers with bad mutations?

How does natural selection stop insects with bad mutations from raping?

They don’t need to know plants probably don’t know how to do anything they don’t think yet they can do things they probably lack the concept of photosynthesis yet it happens

I don’t know all there is to know how my liver works or my brain or my eyes yet they seem to function any way it’s crazy but apparently it happens

there was no purpose life changes in this case those changes caused the production of drugs that happened to have an effect on would be predators that effect happened to lead to the plants that produced the drugs reproducing more plants that produced drugs

As for the ants and other bugs with a limited breeding cast it’s not just the traits of the individual breeders body’s and actions that factor into survival theirs also there trait of producing certain traits in there young that won’t breed

The reproducing social insects that manage to make non reproducing descendants that allow the reproducing parent to survive and make more breeding descendants reproduce to make more non breeders and breeders
though I thick with some social bugs adults can change to being reproductive if the queen dies and with honey bees a hive can keep going if there queen dies but they have a young enough larva as all they need to do to make more queens and drones is change the young’s living space and diet at a certain point

How do they know the drug worked?

??? Not following… Could you explain a little more please?

That’s all nice, but how does Natural Selection fit into any of that.

Actually, you're wrong. I spent some time in the pest control business, and insects evolve quite rapidly, selecting for those individuals that somehow have an immunity to a given pesticide. Once the species is dominated by that evolved version, that pesticide is rendered useless against it, and new technologies must be developed.

That’s an interesting story, thanks for sharing… But, I am confused… Did the roaches display mutations of complexity like, I don’t know… an eyeball on their back after you prayed them? When they had children after you sprayed them they became a different species and couldn’t breed with the previous species?

You didn’t actually state “what” they evolved into… I know roaches “adapt” to certain poisons, like people who slowly drink small amounts of poison to build their tolerance, and that is inherited to their kids. But, I am not seeing the “evolution” within your post.

Could you please explain “how” your example is evolution.

your missing the point the plants dont need to know so long as the ones that have the trait are able to reproduce more plants with drugs ther will be plants with drugs

i thought your confusion with ant selection came from so many not being breeders themselves

The insects that have mutated and have a defense against the pesticide survive to breed. Ultimately they change the gene pool of that insect and the species makes a minute change that allows them to survive. That is the mechanism of evolution.

You posted "singular" for a single question. I do not know which question you are referring to? But, whatever question it is in my list that you think I know the answer to - I don't... I would love an answer to any of them... :)

I was wondering if someone was going to catch that... Why did I post such nonsense? Because that is what some of you actually "think" happens... That after we build up an immunity to an outside substance, we pass that on to our kids, like the roaches or viruses or something to that matter and think that evolution. It’s a basic immunity response (of course this doesn’t happen with poison). If the outside substance doesn’t not mutate, as in the roaches, we build up our immunity for that and the next time it rolls around it doesn’t have that much of an effect on us.

There is a rumor that people who survived the Black Plague so long ago, their descendants are immune to the AIDS virus. It’s a rumor mind you, but it has some validity. The study is immunology. Pretty interesting…

Okay… Look… A plant has a mutation and becomes poisonous. It sits in a field and animals start eating all the plants around it. Then it gets eaten and kills the animal. Next generation of animals only 1/3 of the animals know that this plant can kill you. In three (3) generations all the animals know that this plant can kill you. Does that mean they “marked” that (or by now those) plants as poisonous and the rest as eatable and just ate the ones that weren’t poisonous? Of course not – they stay clear of “all” those particular plants. Thus, when pollination comes around, they are both able to reproduce. It’s like the bright colored frogs, some are poisonous and some are not – the animals that eat frogs don’t eat “either”… The same would happen to the plants, you would have some of the same species that would be poisonous, and some that are not. Unless… They came into existence all being poisonous. There is no way on this planet or mathematical solution to say that a plant “evolved” over a vast area and natural selection made the plant poisonous.

No… It is that if a female has a bad mutation, how does Natural Selection stop her from starting a colony of mutated ants?
