It must suck to know that no matter how many white cops get busted for rape, they'll never surpass the number of black males who are convicted of sexual assault.

    Quit while you're ahead clown.

Well, golly, SBB, I think in your world one white guy constitutes a trend. Now, if he were a black guy, or 1747 black guys, it would be irrelevant. In my opinion, you're a racist. And, gee, he was arrested by police officers, most of whom were probably black. Maybe they should explain to Attorney General Eric Holder how that can happen.

What are you basing this assertion on?

Read the original post, Dave. That's usually a prerequisite for commenting. One ex-police officer is arrested and SBB wonders if it's a trend?

My first question is what does them being white cops have to do with the main part of the story?

My whole point of this thread is to show you can't label an entire group of people because of the action of some.

I have read 50 threads started by Don Glock about a group of black folks that did this or a black person that did that as if to say ALL black folks are criminals.

    Kind of like this thread:

His was at least based on one person. Yours was based on...nothing.

I don't think this constitutes a trend, and if it is, it isn't new.

    And *bzzzzzzzt*.

The whole point of this thread is to show that you can't recognize trends.

No, it's called lying. Don Glock did not post about a group and say it represented all black people, did he? His repeated posting about different groups is what go you wound up. It's uncomfortable and while I wouldn't call it a trend yet it does seem to be a fad. There was another this morning.

Anyone who would take one individual and asked or suggest if he represents a trend based on race is a racist. If, quite a few years ago, someone had ask relative to the Beltway Sniper, if he represented a trend for black men he would have been criticized, rightly, as being a racist. So now, SBB, is criticized for being a racist. Of course, it's nothing new.

But, what if there had been ten different incidents of black males shooting white people, because they're white, at random? Would that have been a different concern?

So, is it legitimate to ask if mobs of young people going in to stores, in chicago, St. Paul, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, stealing merchandise, assaulting and robbing pedestrians and laughing and giggling represent some sort of trend or fad? Seems to. The fact that all of the stories in the media involve blacks is unfortunate. Care to address the issue?

Frankly, I don't know. But, to be a trend don't we need more than one?
