    So...

This nitwit went to Fordham Law, graduated with $180k in loan balances, 12 years later that has grown to $220k, and as far as we know, the only job she's had since graduating was a one-term stint as a State Senator. She recently purchased a home for $1.1 Million, and took to twitter to complain about having to repay her loans per the contract she signed.

Perhaps her class in contract law started at 7am, so she didn't bother showing up? Not to mention a personal finance class that explains negative amortization loans!! :roflol::roflol::roflol:

Screenies below, original Tweet (at least until she takes it down) is here. <-- LINK

Hey Alessandra, welcome to the real world. Sell your million dollar home, rent a small apartment, and pay off your debt. You're no more special than anyone else.

    No kidding, right???

And, the stupid blankety blank had the cajones to take to Twitter to complain about it. I don't know if her post is still up, but when I read it yesterday, people were ripping her to shreds, and rightfully so. She could have probably just negotiated another $10k off that house and had that money to burn for her loan payments, that she agreed in writing to make. But, as I said, I guess she missed the module on contract law during her time at law school. I'm not quite sure how it's possible to graduate without that, but stranger things have happened, I suppose.

How does she have money for a million dollar home? Does she have money coming in under the table?

Good question, but I don't have an answer. Her daddy was apparently a long time congress critter himself, though, so... You know how that goes. Go to Congress, make $170k a year, leave Congress with a higher net worth than you started despite having to support two separate households on that money, at least one of which is in one of the most expensive locations in the country, and with Miss Thing here, they both are. I also wonder if she got a sweetheart deal on the home, as it looks way more costly than 'just' $1.1 million, considering the location.

What is wrong with people not paying off their student loans?

I think I saw a headline a few minutes ago that Biden will extend the student loan payment freeze with an executive order.

You'd think people would take responsibility and pay them off as soon as possible. Get out of debt! But no. They will follow Biden with his message of false hope yet again. And fall further behind with their loans. It's a trap!

Why, an argument could be made that this is an intentional malfeasance designed to bury the majority of people (morons) into debt bondage to ensure a permanent underclass of workers. That Biden is leading the charge is especially shocking! He's either a very evil man or incompetent beyond measure.

I saw a quote in an NPR article, and might even start a separate thread about it, where a college loan customer was complaining that she didn't trust the government to "take care of her".

My simple question is, aside from broad issues like the military and police, when did it become a proper function of government to "take care of people", especially those who are capable of taking care of themselves.

It is when you are expecting total strangers to pay off your college loans! That should have taken priority, especially when getting a $10k concession on the price and making good on her word, bond, oath, and seal was vastly superior to sticking other people with her tuition bills!!!
